ADDITIONAL NOTES: - As a high school freshman, AJ was tutored in science by Howie Dorough, who became a sort of friend, mentor, and big brother all wrapped up into one. - When AJ started college in 1996, with a double major in theater (his true passion) and political science (a more practical back-up), Howie was going back for his second degree, so the two went through school together. - AJ was scouted by HimTak as a senior in college and encouraged Howie to apply with him. AJ was accepted due to his polisci background, his mastery of disguise, and his interpersonal skills, and quickly rose through the ranks of the newly reformed organization. He doesn’t always follow protocol, and recruits agents that K otherwise wouldn’t go for, such as Emerald and Nick. - He’s the one who dresses the most outgoing within the agency - Mentor to several of the agents, more specifically Emerald, Pearl, and Nick. But he’s there for anyone looking for advice. Less scary, easier to go to, than K. - Almost never goes by the book, does things his own way, despite K’s disapproval especially since he’s K’s right hand man.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Though born in the United States, Grasshopper moved to Japan as a young adult and became trained in martial arts. He is fluent in Japanese and can speak or understand several other Asian languages. He was recruited into the original Himitsu Takana when it was based in Japan and is one of the only surviving members. After the organization was all but destroyed, Grasshopper returned to the United States and helped K, who was chosen by the enigmatic 001 to lead the new HimTak, rebuild the organization from the ground up. Jay trained her personally, and she honed her skills to rise to the rank of 005. ADDITIONAL NOTES: Following in the footsteps of his father, a retired officer from the Orlando P.D., Howie went into criminal justice. As a sophomore in college, tutored high school students in science (an academic strength of his) for extra cash. He tutored AJ McLean, then a high school freshman, and despite their age difference, the two established a friendship. Theirs was an older/younger brother relationship, with Howie acting as a mentor to the younger AJ. In 1995, Howie graduated and easily landed a job on the Orlando police force, thanks to some pull from his revered father. One night that same year, he attempted to pull over a drunk driver. The driver sped up, rather than stopping, and a chase ensued. Howie finally ran the other car off the road and cornered the offender. When the suspect got out of the vehicle, he was clearly drunk and began taunting Howie. A flustered Howie drew his weapon to force the man to get on the ground so that he could handcuff him. The man was going to comply, but turned too quickly, and the abrupt motion alarmed Howie into firing his gun. He shot and killed the man, who had not been reaching for a weapon at all. The incident was a mark on Howie’s record, but his supervisors deemed it an honest mistake, and Howie was allowed to stay on the force. He was never the same afterwards, though. The lack of control he’d felt when the man was taunting him, threatening him, had shaken Howie, and he was determined never to let a suspect get the upper hand again. He became ruthless, even brutal, when dealing with criminals, and after a number of complaints about his interrogation techniques, he was discharged from the force. With his record tarnished, Howie found he could not find police work, and so he grudgingly accepted a position as a… mall cop. While policing the mall, he decided to go back to school and get a second degree in the field of science, which had always been his best subject in school. He double majored in physics and biochemical engineering, both of which would come in handy in the development of his weapons later on. By this time, AJ was also of college age, so the two friends went through school together. Upon graduation, AJ learned of Himitsu Takana and encouraged Howie to apply for the organization with him, figuring his police background would come in handy. The rest is history… AJ was accepted. Howie, though with a stronger background in the skills needed, was not, due to failing the background check and psych exam. Howie disappeared, descended into madness, and emerged some six years later as Dr. Rough, leader of the villainous organization F.A.N.S.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Mackenzie is a technology and computer whiz who was tracked down and recruited for Himitsu Takana after he was discovered hacking into the agency's database by Professor Pearl. Born in New York City, his parents divorced when he was 7, agreeing to share custody of him. His father was in the military and was constantly being re-stationed, making it difficult for him to make friends and stay in touch with them. At the age of fifteen, Mackenzie's father managed to get him a laptop computer, thus helping to introduce him to the technological world he would soon find his place in. By sixteen, Mackenzie had a reputation as one of the most highly skilled computer hackers in the online community. When his father found her attempting to hack into classified military files one day when he was almost 17, he and Mackenzie’s mother decided that he could no longer stay with his father and would instead live permanently with his mother. Upset by his parents' decision, he immersed himself further into his cyber world. When Mackenzie was 18, he left home and found himself working with a few other hackers in an underground classified information-retriving business. One of his clients' requests led him to the Himitsu Takana database. Despite his resentment at first for being brought to Himitsu Takana forcefully, Mackenzie has adjusted well, and is also said to be the top agent-in-training, since he isn't old enough to be a full-fledged agent. Mackenzie helps with anything computer related, which usually entails gathering information for assignments and assisting Professor Pearl. - First appearance is in Season Two - Personally mainly based on Seth Cohen from OC lol. Rambly, lovable, and self involved. - Drives Pearl insane till he grows on her. - Youngest HimTak member EVER. This should grate on people’s nerves. Basically he was caught hacking the mainframe, but instead of K arresting him, he offered him a job cause of how much skill it would take to get past anything Pearl set up. Is trained and kept working in the lab till he turns 21. - Has a “mascot” (aka figurine), which is a moose named Major Muffin
