Himitsu Takana

Little is known about the origins of Himitsu Takana.  Its secrets lie within the mind of its creator, Agent 001, whom many believe to be simply legend.  Its roots, however, lie in the heart of Japan, where the organization thrived for many years before being almost completely destroyed.

It was rebuilt from the ground up in its current location in the United States by surviving agents Grasshopper, K, and 007.  With a new headquarters, a new leader, and new recruits, the agency flourished once again.  Though based in the restricted zone known as Area 51, in the deserts of Nevada, Himitsu Takana is not affiliated with the U.S. government or any other government, for that matter.  It is a separate entity, independent from the politics and practices that limit governments, neutral from the disputes that divide countries.  It works for the best interests of the world at large.

Himitsu Takana’s mission is to keep the world safe from peril, while protecting its own secrecy from the millions of people who inhabit the globe.  Any information about the organization is kept highly classified, revealed only to agents upon joining, after a rigorous recruitment process.  Agents and staff are chosen by scouts, who search the world over for the elite best and brightest in each field needed.

Kevin Richardson

Agent K is the top of the ranks, or so everyone believes.  There is one above him, Agent 001, but who is that?  No one knows; many believe 001 is nothing but a myth.

K might seem harsh and critical, but only because he wants the best from his agents.  K got married at 18 and had a son by the age of 19, joining the agency as soon as he turned 21, despite his ties to people on the outside. A rare thing for a secret agent.

He has traveled a long, hard road to get where he is and unwillingly made more sacrifices than he was ready for during his career.  At times, he may seem mean and indifferent, but he cares more than others realize and is harsh for reasons he refuses to reveal.

AJ McLean

Agent Alexander James McLean is the prime example to live up to. Not as strict as Agent K, he likes to do his missions his own way, with his unique, personal flair.  He is a master of disguise and often will change his look, using missions as an excuse to do so, much to Agent K’s annoyance.  He is wild and crazy, yet when the time comes, he is very skilled and knows how to get his job done.

Although his image looks tough, he is the “softie” to Agent K’s “hardass.”  He has a heart of gold and a listening ear for any agent who needs it.  He is the agent many look up to and go to for guidance, though he only takes a special few under his wing, leaving the rest for Agent K.  Emerald and 00Carter are two of the select few.  He has an intimate, on-again/off-again relationship with Emerald, whom he brought to the agency.  He also recruited Nick, whom he bonded with after the tragedy of Drums.  Without a father figure himself, Jay still manages to be one to the other agents.

Wilson Smithers

Wilson Smithers, known by the code name “Grasshopper,” is one of only four surviving members of the original Himitsu Takana, based in Japan.  Not much is known about his past, except by Agent K, and of course, he stays tight-lipped.

Grasshopper is a master at his craft, an expert in martial arts and weaponry, and knows many secrets in the way of espionage.  Though he stays in good shape, he is much older than the other agents and is not usually sent on missions anymore, preferring to stay behind and mentor new agents.  Most of the agents think he is a little loony, due to his habit of speaking in riddles.  In the wisdom of Grasshopper, “True fighters do not cut grass.  They dare it to grow.”

Summer O’Riley

At the age of six, Summer O’Riley lost her parents in a terrible accident and became a product of the system. As a teenager, she ran away from her foster home with the lead singer of a rock band.  When the rock and roll lifestyle proved to be less than thrilling for the adrenaline junkie, she enlisted in the army. Her aggressive nature and rough background gave her the advantage over the other female officers, and she quickly excelled.  While on leave for the weekend, she crossed paths with Agent J of Himitsu Takana in a local nightclub, and the rest is history.

Fearless and exciting and maybe slightly crazy, Summer rivals even the top agents. But, in grand Irish tradition, she’s also stubborn and quick to lose her temper. Her only weakness: the sexy southern accent of a certain American C.I.A. agent.

Her weapon from Pearl is a bra that releases a 24-hour sleeping gas.

Desiree DuBaiser

Joined Himitsu Takana a year after Agent Carter, former Agent Timberlake, and Professor Pearl. With her skills and deadly aim, she quickly rose up through the ranks. However, she did not capture the 00 rank until Timberlake was forced to leave the agency, and she took his old spot as 009.  She was later promoted to the rank of 006, after the death of JC Chasez.

Seductive but deadly, with her quick reflexes and  innocent looks, she is known to catch her male enemies off-guard before shooting them directly in the heart. Flirtatious to a fault, she is often the right hand of 00Carter, and the daring pair have gone on many missions together, to great success.  She has a good sense of humor and will joke when the tension of her job starts to take its toll, but she knows when to get serious.

Her weapon gift from Pearl is what looks like a cell phone that acts not only as a communicator, but can morph into a tiny shot gun.

Joshua Scott Chasez

A proud member of Himitsu Takana, JC, known as “Shazam,” was one of the prides of the agency.  He was highly skilled; however, his interpersonal skills were always a bit lacking, as he could never seem to be able to get along with 00Carter or Professor Pearl.  He was close to Drums before his departure and did get along with Emerald Ecstasy over their shared distaste for Carter.  Easygoing at times, he seemed simple to get along with, as long as you weren’t better than him.  At other times, he was a perfectionist, a good quality until he took it to the extreme, even going so far as to try to correct Pearl on her own creations.

Shazam’s career was cut tragically short during a mission at Walt Disney World, by none other than his former friend, Drums, who threw him to his death from the top of Cinderella’s castle.

Agent 007

Agent 007 has retained his rank since his days at MI6 in England, long before he left the government agency to work for Himitsu Takana.  Despite his many missions as 007 over the years, he never appears to age.  Other details of his background remain secret… very secret.

Nick Carter

As the most underestimated agent of Himitsu Takana, Nick is always chastised for trying to save the world his way, rather than the so-called “proper” way.  He joined the agency at the age of 22, recruited from the midst of what Agent Jay considered a dead-end path for a young man in which he’d seen enormous potential.

With 00Carter, ally and foe alike must expect the unexpected, as he has a tendency to pull off moves people would never imagine.  Although he is known to be accident-prone and attracted to chaos, he has an innate ability to turn any curveballs thrown at him to his advantage.  Nick charms the ladies whenever one catches his eye, and he is an endless flirt with those at HimTak.  Of all the ladies, it is Diamond Divine he forever chases.  There is something about her he can never resist, and while he loves getting together with Red Jewel and has a close personal friendship with Professor Pearl, Diamond is the one he keeps his eyes on.  While many know him as a prankster and a womanizer, there is a depth to 00Carter that only a special few get to see.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Given the alias “Vitruvian” as a play off his first name (or, as Mr. Lancybassy claims, “Because he’s such a fab-u-lous work of art!”), Leonardo joined Himitsu Takana later in life than most young recruits.  He was originally sought for his expertise in world languages and international affairs, but completed the necessary physical training to become a Double-0 agent and was promoted to the rank of Agent 009, after the death of agent JC Chasez.

With his boyish good looks, playful sense of humor, and winning personality, Vitruvian is natural competition to the womanizing ways of one 00Carter.  Is there room for two, blonde, blue-eyed charmers among the ranks of Double-0 at HimTak?  Only time will tell.

Kitana Pierson

Joined Himitsu Takana the same time as Agent Carter and the former Agent Timberlake. Has had the same field training, but instead of being a field agent, opted to use her brilliant mind for technological advances in secret agent weaponry.

An expert in her field, she creates small hidden weapons on the “gifts” she makes for her coworkers, each device unique to the person to whom she gives it. However, with her talent, she does have a strict rule of her own: not to mix machine and man to an extreme state, no matter how bad the injury. She believes it to be against human nature.

She has been a close friend to Nick since they joined Himitsu Takana and can see past his easy flirting. She calls him on his faults, which is what  separates her from the Carter Girls.  Sarcastic, smart, and lovely, she is, as Nick dubbed her, a pearl at the agency.

Mr. James Lancybassy

Nick’s flirtatious secretary, Lancy is not shy about his sexual preference and is, in fact, quite proud of his gayness.

A cheerful smile is always on his face, as he’s happy to do his small part to help 00Carter fight the evildoers of the world today.   Has the hugest crush on Nick and is FAR from shy about it. Is a great pal to all the girls at the agency, gushing his woes to them, in a way that would infuriate the other men of the agency if his flamboyant homosexuality wasn’t obvious.  He fits all the stereotypes, but with his own unique flair.

His weapon from Professor Pearl is a corsage that can, with the right press, spray a poisonous pepper spray.

Dr. Julianne Llewellyn

Himitsu Takana founded its young doctor, paying her way through medical school. She may appear sweet and brainy, but in the right situation, she can be as deadly as the others.

She is very professional, except for around 00Carter, who is her weak spot. She insists on getting the respect her degree in medicine has earned her, and if she feels someone is not complying, she will make them call her Dr. Jewel.  Kind, easy to talk to, and a great listener who still knows how to get down and dirty, this red jewel shines like no other.

Her weapon from Professor Pearl is a jewel-encrusted cross that can be pressed and detached before changing into a small but quite deadly bomb.

Brian Littrell

One of the best of the best in America’s CIA, Brian works in a department that controls “special projects”… the dangers in the world of which most Americans, let alone the rest of the world’s civilians, have not a clue.

He works with Himitsu Takana when their goals are one in the same. The difference between the agencies is, while Himitsu Takana wants what is good for the world, the CIA wants what is good for America alone. Brian sometimes doesn’t understand that and would be the leader of his department if it wasn’t for the many times he does things his way and gets reprimanded for it. He does not always agree with how Himitsu Takana runs things, which is why he remains loyal to the CIA.

Charming and sweet, with an undeniable southern accent, he has his own following, but is faithful only to a gal that Nick, when he saw her, called an “Opal Odyssey.” Brian keeps her true identity a secret in order to protect her.

Ashavari Desai

True to her alias, Opal Odyssey is a deep and multifaceted woman.  Born to deaf parents, she was raised in a home where sign language was the only language spoken, and thus, as a child, she suffered from speech delays.  Despite her early struggles with oral language, she displayed a linguistic aptitude which she honed with age.

At age 28, she was employed by the U.S. government as a translator.  It quickly became apparent that her talents in decoding language could be used elsewhere, and she was moved to the CIA to work as a codebreaker.  It was there that she met agent Brian Littrell, whose warm, charismatic personality provided the perfect contrast to her soft-spoken, reserved manner.

Due to her guarded personality and many different faces, Opal is hard to get to know, but those who do know her see her as highly intelligent and articulate, compassionate, tolerant, and always willing to lend a listening ear.

Aly Mendez

Abandoned by her parents at a young age, Aly Mendez grew up living on the hard streets of Los Angeles, California, learning anything and everything she needed in order to protect herself. For Aly, everyday in L.A. was a struggle to survive.

By the age of 19, she had seen and handled horrible things, which inspired her decision to protect those who can’t protect themselves by becoming a cop.  Yet, as a trainee in the police academy, she sometimes questions where her loyalties lie, finding herself torn between justice and old bloodlines.  She has friends on all sides:  cops, gangbangers, and even… secret agents.  She has enemies, too.

Who is the woman 00Carter calls Sapphire Siren, and what side is she truly on?  Sometimes, even she doesn’t know.
