Ch.2 - Think About It

Justin fell asleep shortly after BJ but him in bed and she quietly crept downstairs. She noticed a photo album beside Justin's bag and BJ walked over and knelt down and opened it. She was in total shock when she saw many pictures of Alicia and Brian together. 'They must be 16 here.' BJ said and smiled at the funny face Brian was making. Just then, she heard a car pull in the driveway and she immediately shoved the photo album into Justin's bag and sat on the couch acting normal, although she was planning to confront Alicia about this.

I walked in and saw BJ quietly watching TV on the couch and she waved at me as I walked in. Kelsie told me that she was going to visit her parents so she dropped me off and then left. "Hey BJ. Is Justin sleeping?" "Yeah, he fell asleep almost as soon as I put him down." BJ said. "Okay, thanks so much for coming over on short notice." I said as I paid her. "No problem, I didn't have anything planned anyway. Can I talk to you about something?" BJ asked. "Sure! What do you want to talk about?" I asked as I sat beside her. "This!" BJ said as she pulled a picture of Brian and I. "After you left I went out into the kitchen to get a drink for Justin and when I came back in he was curled up on the couch crying." BJ said. "Oh god." "He said he missed his daddy and I asked him if he wanted to talk about it and he got up and handed me this picture." BJ said and I felt tears coming to my eyes. Recently, Justin was having a lot of trouble with the whole Brian thing and I felt worse every time he got upset. "So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked. "You don't know who I really am do you?" BJ asked and I gave her a confused look. "I'm BJ Carter." She said and I instantly knew who she was. "Oh my god!! You're Nick's sister?" "Yes, he's the brother my mom is always talking about him being gone all the time." BJ said and I was shocked. "It never even clued in. I saw pictures of you and Nick before in magazines but I it never clued in." I said and BJ took my hand. "I don't know how you feel about Justin meeting Brian, but I can easily get Brian over here." BJ said and I felt tears come to my eyes. "Look, I know what you're thinking. I've heard the whole story about you two. Everything from when the two of you started dating till the day Brian left to join the band." "How do you know that?" I asked. "Because Brian talks about you all the time. The last time I saw him he showed me this exact same picture, he said he carries it in his wallet everywhere he goes. He can't leave the house without it. He has told me that he still has feelings for you and would do anything to see you again." BJ said and I began to cry slightly. "Yeah, but once he finds out he's had a son for five years he'll never want to see me again." I said. "No he won't. He's not like that. He might be a little upset, but he would never shut you out of his life. He told me, and the rest of the guys that he misses you so much. Even Kevin talks about you sometimes. Brian misses you a lot and he would never shut you out of his life. In my opinion, he'll probably be excited that he has a son." "Really?" I asked and looked at her. "Yeah, he's talked about dreams he's been having about you lately, he says he has dreams of marrying you and having children with you and it makes him really happy." BJ said and I didn't know what to say. "Just promise me you'll think about it. Justin has told me that he really wants to meet Brian, if you don't want to do this for yourself, at least do it for Justin. Justin deserves a great father and know one else can be a greater father than Brian." BJ said and I sighed. "Look, I can tell you need to think about this. The guys are coming back from their tour in two days. Just think about it." BJ said and left, just as Kelsie came in. "What's wrong?" I asked trying to hide the tears. "My parents have the flu so they told me to come back later in the week. What's wrong?" Kelsie asked as she knew I was crying. "You know why BJ looks so much like Nick?" "Why?" Kelsie asked. "Because she's Nick's sister." I said. "Oh my god really?" "She just told me that the guys are coming back from tour in two days, including Brian." I said and Kelsie frowned knowing what was going on. "What are you going to do?" "I don't know. I need to think about it." I said and walked upstairs to check on Justin.
