About
Us
Code
Blue
was started by two Backstreet Boys fanfic authors, Rachel and Julie. We wrote most of the original Season 1
ourselves and then decided to make some changes and re-write. During the re-write, a new author, Bianca, joined
the line-up. Bianca helped finish the
re-write and contributed to one new episode in Season 1 before the story took a
long hiatus. Finally, after three years
of only sporadic updates, we decided to try a last-ditch effort to get the
story going again by recruiting a team of writers, which we dubbed The Code
Team. The idea behind this was that TV
shows like ER, which our story is
modeled after, are written by teams of writers rather than just one or two
people; CB is a big project, and we thought it would help us to have a lot of
people collaborating together to get the story updated. The new Code Team members are: Amy, Jenn,
Louise, Rose, Sabra, Sarah, and Shauna. You can find out more about all of the CB
authors by reading our bios below. If you’d
like to contact any of us, our email addresses are all posted here, and more
contact info can be found on the Contact Us page.
Julie, the webmistress of
this site, was born in 1985 (you do the math), lives in Illinois, and is
currently in college. She’s majoring in
elementary education, with a minor in history, and plans to teach for a
living. Some of her hobbies include
writing, reading, movies, listening to music, playing the piano, web design,
and scrapbooking.
Julie
first heard of the Backstreet Boys in early 1998, when she started hearing
“Quit Playing Games” and “As Long as You Love Me” on the radio. She started to become a fan after first
seeing them perform on Nickelodeon’s “All That,” which was when she became a
Brian fan, even before knowing his name.
She bought their first US album in the summer of ’98, and by the time
Millennium came out in May ’99, she was obsessed. She read her first fanfic (JJ’s “Blind Love”) that summer and quickly became
addicted. She started writing her own that
winter and got her first story “Heartache” hosted in early ’00.

Rachel was the mastermind
behind CB. Her birthday is August 27,
1981, and she currently lives in southern Virginia. Rachel has been working at a pharmacy for
awhile now and is a certified pharmacy technician. Her hobbies include reading, watching tv, listening to music, going to Kenny Chesney concerts,
and visiting friends.
1999
was the year Rachel became interested in the Backstreet Boys and in
fanfiction. It first started out as
browsing information pages about the BSB and finding links to fanfiction and
reading them and loving it. Shortly
after discovering the world of fanfiction, Rachel began her first novel 'Test
of Faith' to be followed by her most popular story 'Living in a Nightmare' and
other stories including collaborations and short stories. She now writes 98 Degrees fanfiction.
You
can contact her at the screen name CntryChesneyFan or
at CntryChesneyFan@aol.com. Her other Bsb fanfics are hosted here: http://www.dreamers-sanctuary.com/hosted.html
Bianca was born on May 18,
1983 (Millennium was released on her birthday =P). She lives in southeastern North Carolina and
is currently taking some time off from school and working at the bank. When she isn't working, she enjoys listening
to all types of music, writing, reading, singing, shopping, hanging out with
her closest friends, watching tv, among other
things. Right now, she isn't exactly
sure what she wants to do with her future, but she's working on it.

Rose is 19
years old and was born October 8th, 1986.
She currently lives in southern Nevada.
She loves to write, sing, read, watch “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” and
enjoys any book written by Stephen King, VC Andrews, or Anne Rice. She's bounced from crummy job to crummy job,
as she just pays her way through college and various important BSB items and
concerts.
When
Rose was only 10, back in 1996, her cousin, who was in Europe at the time, sent
her a red CD by this group she said was huge there. That group happened to be the Backstreet
Boys, and after hearing "Roll With It" and "Quit Playing
Games," she became an instant fan.
When she had her cousin send her "Backstreet's Back" after
getting the US debut of that CD as well, "As Long As You Love Me"
hooked her, and this became her favorite group.
However, her fanfic days did not start until the days of Black and Blue,
when the video for "The Call" inspired a story idea and she decided
to go with it since she had read various fanfics on the net. (Although the particular story it inspired
was never posted.) She had seen great
fanfics, her first one being the infamous Bria's
"Shards Of A Shattered Life."
She had loved writing regular stories before this and figured, why not
incorporate her favorite group into it as well?
Rose’s
fics are hosted at AbsoluteChaos. She uses the penname Rose and collaborates
with just about anyone.
Sabra is an 18-year-old
high school student from Illinois who will soon be attending college, also in
Illinois. Her major will be Journalism,
and she doesn't know what her minor will be yet. She was born on March 14, 1988, a minute
after her twin sister, Kirsten. Her
interests include singing, dancing, acting, reading, writing, playing video
games, languages, traveling, anime, manga, drawing,
and fashion design.
She
became a Backstreet Boys fan in 1997 after hearing "Quit Playing Games
(With My Heart)" on the radio, but didn't discover BSB fan fiction until
1999. Also in 1999, Sabra
became a fan of Nsync and proved that a teenybopper
can like both boybands. She started
reading "Code Blue" in 2001 or 2002 after finding a link on a random
BSB fan fiction site. After reading in
the Code Blue newsletter that they needed writers to be part of the Code Team, Sabra instantly applied to be a part of one of her favorite
stories on the Internet. She has written
three other fan fiction stories, but none of them are BSB or Nsync related. She
wrote two Nsync ones, but never liked the stories
enough to post anywhere. Her first
posted one, “The Mt. Dew Chronicles,” was written in 2002 with her older sister
and her twin sister. The other two
stories, “The Lord of the Soda: The Fellowship of the Soda” (which has been
discontinued for the time being) and “Not Another Broadway Story!” (which has
been taken off the site it was on for being in play format) was written with
her twin sister. Her favorite Backstreet
Boy member is Brian, and her favorite Nsync member is
JC. In Code Blue, she has too many
favorite characters to name at the moment, and her least favorite character is
JC.
