Come
Back, My Friend
By Jenny
AN: Ok, no I do not own the Bsb, I came up with this story in a
dream last night, and I had to write it, please I think that it is good, and I
would like to hear your comments. Thank you.
It has been 6 days.
6 days since one of our friends was
hurt.
He was hurt in a car crash, and is now
in a coma.
As the four of us, and his family
wait, his mother begins to cry.
She cries because she is afraid, she
is afraid of losing another child.
The doctor enters the small waiting
room, and immediately, all things are quiet.
The doctor gives the news, we all are
in shock. As he leaves we all weep.
His family, and ourselves become
engrossed in the reality of matters.
There was one.
One who was crying the most, I
couldn’t figure out whom.
Then I realize that it is I.
We are allowed to visit our friend in
his room.
Apparently, The doctors say, if his
condition does not improve within a day,
That they will unplug our friend, they
will unplug him from life.
As his family leaves the room, a mother,
Father, and 2 sisters;
Leaving without the brother, a piece
of the puzzle missing.
We four enter the room.
There he lays, our friend, no longer
able to function without the help,
The help of the many many machines.
I think to myself, ‘this isn’t him,
this is a dream, it’s not real.’
But it is.
Then out of nowhere, one voice, a
single voice, my voice;
Fills the room.
But it is not for my own pleasure, but
a calling.
From deep within my soul, I mourn.
From deep within my soul I call back
to him.
Hoping to guide him home, with song.
I don’t even notice that my 3 other
companions join me.
Together we are calling, guiding our
lost friend back home;
Where he will be found.
It was always one of his most loved
songs, it reminded him;
Of his sister, who to was lost.
When he sang this song, he was calling
to her, for her to come home;
But it was to late for her.
To late for her, but not for him.
We sang.
From every depth of our heart, mind,
body, and soul,
We sang with our spirit.
We did not notice that all in the
room, hallway, and outer room:
In those rooms the noise had stopped,
leaving nothing but silence. We sang.
They let us sing, they stopped the
noise and let us guide our lost friend in silence.
We sang.
This is what we sang.
Show me the meaning of being lonely.
So many words for the broken heart,
It’s hard to see in a crimson love, so
hard to breath;
Walk with me and maybe…
Nights of light so soon become,
Wild and free I can feel the sun.
Your every wish, will be done… they
tell me.
Show me the meaning of being lonely;
Is this the feeling I need to walk
with?
Tell me why I cant be there where you
are.
There’s something missing in my heart.
Life goes on, as it never ends,
Eyes of stone observe the trends, they
never say,
Forever gaze.
If only… guilty roads to an endless
love.
There’s no control, are you with me
now,
Your every wish will be done,
They tell me!
Show me the meaning of being lonely.
Is this the feeling I need to walk
with?
Tell me why, I cant be there, when you
are.
There’s something missing in my heart.
There’s nowhere to run, I have no
place to go.
Surrender my heart body and soul!
How can it be your asking me, to feel
the pain you never show?
You are missing in my heart.
Tell me why can’t I be there when you
are!
Show me the meaning of being lonely,
Is this the feeling I need to walk
with?
Tell me why I can’t be there when you
are!
There’s something missing in my heart.
Show me the meaning of being lonely.
Is this the feeling I need to walk
with?
Tell me why?
I cant be there where you are!
There’s something missing in my heart,
Something missing in my…….heart
As we finished we all were crying.
Then a voice, one voice, a lost scared
voice said.
Don’t cry for me.
We looked down, our friend.
He was awake! He had that shimmer in
his eyes.
He found his way home,
With us.
Welcome back.
I leaned down and cradled him,
He again said, ‘don’t cry for me.’
‘I can’t help it,’
Welcome back Howie.
‘Thanks A.J.’
Our friend, who was lost,
Now is found.
The song had guided our friend home to
us.
Home, to stay
The End
