Epilogue

She stretched her hands and then got busy typing again. She was almost done; in less then two months she had written her story. She proudly finished the last page:

I was once told that God’s number one virtue was LOVE. I didn’t really ever understand that till now. My father was the one that told me this; he was my first love, as a little girl I used to go everywhere with him and he would always tell me this. As I grew he told me that aside the love god also had other virtues such as patience, forgiveness, kindness, and he was wise. The bond I had with him made me feel miserable when I lost him and I blamed god for it. Now, I know that wherever my dad is he has forgiven me for my mistakes, because like he told me all the time love does not keep account of any injury. Today I stand a lot wiser than I was a long time ago. I have made my mistakes and have had my consequences. But, the one thing I have now come to understand is falling in love is not a Mistake, but a chance to be happy. I now have this chance and I will do my best to flourish it for as long as I live. “Never let doubt or fear get in the way of happiness.” That is my new quote and man how true it is. I once told someone that Mistakes have Consequences and that is true, but what I never told her was you can’t live by those mistakes instead you have to learn from them... With this book I close for good my past and now I will live my future with 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a in my mind: Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, 5 6 7 9.

She stopped typing when she realized someone was behind her. “I didn’t know I had an audience.”

“Pam, I couldn’t have put it better myself.” He kissed his WIFE. His wife, wow finally she was his wife after almost 19 years she was his wife.

“You know you owe me a dance…” she said as she closed her laptop.

“Yeah, I know I was hoping you’d remember,” he said as he smiled at her slyly.

She opened up her laptop again and after a few minutes, looked up and spoke, “I have found the song I want to dance. I want to tell you in this how I feel for you…” she got up and joined Alex just as the song started to play:

The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath.
And emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
Never revealing their depth.
Tell me that we belong together,
Dress it up with the trappings of love.
I'll be captivated,
I'll hang from your lips,
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above.

I'll be your crying shoulder,
I'll be love's suicide
I'll be better when I'm older,
I'll be the greatest fan of your life.

And rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed.
You're my survival, you're my living proof.
My love is alive -- not dead.
Tell me that we belong together.
Dress it up with the trappings of love.
I'll be captivated,
I'll hang from your lips,
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

I'll be your crying shoulder,
I'll be love's suicide
I'll be better when I'm older,
I'll be the greatest fan of your life.

And I've dropped out, I've burned up, I've fought my way back from the dead.
I've tuned in, turned on, remembered the things that you said

I'll be your crying shoulder,
I'll be love's suicide
I'll be better when I'm older,
I'll be the greatest fan of your...
I'll be your crying shoulder,
I'll be love's suicide
I'll be better when I'm older,
I'll be the greatest fan of your life.

The greatest fan of your life.
...greatest fan of your life.

“Nice… I like it I almost felt the Country side in me.” He grinned and hugged his wife. “I’m kidding that song is beautiful. So you really are going to publish the book?”

“Yes, I think I should…” she smiled at him.

“Well, I will be the first one to buy it…” he kissed her softly.

Finally she was happy and felt complete. She looked at her husband and smiled as she got an idea in her…..
