Chapter
3
Nick shut off his car and got out. He knocked on Brian’s door.
Brian opened it and smiled when he saw Nick. Brian hurried him inside and Nick
sat down on the couch. Brian walked out into the other den and the rest of the
group followed him.
“We are going to attend the biggest party of the year!” A.J
replied. Nick lifted his eyebrows. A.J walked over to him and pulled a piece of
paper from his pocket. Nick looked down on it,
You are
invited to the Phillips/ Timberlake party
Please come
and have a fun time with us.
Nick nodded, “This could be fun.” He replied. All the guys nodded
and they went their separate ways to get ready for the party.
Jessica’s
house
Jessica leaned on her balcony. She smiled to herself and watched
the fireworks burst overhead. She walked back into her room and looked at her
costume. She was an angel with big white wings and a halo of white roses
sitting on top of her hair. She walked into the bathroom and stayed there until
her mother or nurse came to beckon her.
Nick watched as the guards checked their invitations. They smiled
at them and let them pass. Nick sighed and pushed back his hair from his face.
He looked down at his costume he was a dashing knight dressed in an iron shirt
and armor drown his arms.
They stopped the car and they entered the house. Nick walked away
from the group and watched as people walked passed him. He heard noise coming
from every corner of the huge house. His head began to spin and he felt himself
go dizzy. He walked into the bathroom and splashed his face with cold water.
He through his mask into the sink and looked around the huge
bathroom. He smiled at the fish tank that ran across the entire room. He walked
up to it and looked into it. He watched the small tropical fish swim around. He
leaned down and looked through a small hole in the coral. He took a step back
when he saw an eye looking back at him.
