Chapter 9
Nick started the car and drove off in
the direction Justin had gone. He spotted the car and began a heavy
pursuit. Justin lost control of the car
and it flipped. Nick stopped his car and watched the car intently. Justin saw
Nick approach and he hurried out of the car. Nick saw the gun lying on the
ground and he ran towards it.
Justin got to it first. He held up to
Nick’s head,
“Brian! You killed him now let me join
him!” Nick screamed. Justin looked at him,
“You are a stupid boy!” Justin yelled
back at him.
“I brought this on us!” Nick screamed
grabbed in the gun from Justin’s hand.
Nick pulled the trigger and he kept
shooting Justin till he fell dead on the ground. Nick looked down at the gun
and dropped it. His eyes were red from the tears. He looked up at the sky,
“Why!?” He exclaimed. A car pulled up
next to him,
“Nick!” Kevin exclaimed. Nick looked
over at them,
“Nick get in!” He replied again. Nick
made his way to the car and got in. The drove off, right as sirens became
noticeable. Kevin stopped the car in front of the Phillips house. Nick slowly
got out and made his way through the back yard again. He climbed the lattice up
to Jessica’s room. He saw Jessica huddled on her bed.
“Jessica?” He whispered as he entered.
Jessica looked up with tear stained eyes. She got off the bed and ran into his
arms. He held her tightly. She looked up into his eyes.
“Do I love a man you killed my
cousin?” She asked herself quietly. She looked at Nick. He had three small cuts
on his face. She kissed him and they embraced again.
Jessica woke up in Nick’s arms the
next morning. She smiled and she watched him. Nicks eyes opened and he saw her.
He smiled at her and kissed her. He got up and put on his shirt. She sat up and
watched him,
“Nick do you love me?” she asked. Nick
turned around,
“Of course why?” He asked.
“Then lets get married.” She replied.
