Chapter 6
I looked for the clock for the
hundredth time since I was in the room. It was 2 pm and there was no sign of
Brian waking up. I heard the door creak open and saw the AJ walk into the room.
They must have been here to say what they think will be there last goodbye to
Brian but I know it wouldn't be. Brian is gonna pull out of it. I saw AJ walk
up to his bed and held Brian's freezing hand in his. I saw tears slid down AJ's
cheeks.
"Rok", Aj started to say as
he cleared his throat, " I know you can pull throw this, Do it for me and
the guys, We cant take another death after Nick's. Please Bro, we need you, I
love you mean" Aj said as he wiped his cheeks and I saw Kevin walk into
the room. Time passed by as they all said there goodbyes and I saw it was now
3:45. C'mon Brian wake up. I just stared at him one by one people came into the
room, it must have been filled with 10 people. I saw the doctor come in and saw
Jackie cry in Harold arms. It was now 3:55, This just couldn't be happening, I
know I wished for Brian to be with me in this hell whole of a situation I was
in but I didn't really mean cause I know Brian would be happier on earth then
stuck here with me.
"1 minute" The doctor said
looking at his watch. I saw no reaction from Brian.
"30 seconds" The doctor said
counting the time on his watch.
"Please god if your listening
don't take Brian away from the people who love him" I said as I closed my
eyes and felt tears fall down my cheeks.
"10 seconds"
"5 seconds" I heard the
doctor say then I heard a gasp from AJ's mouth. I opened my eyes quickly to see
Brian's eyes open slowly.
"This has to be a miracle"
The doctor said as he looked at Brian who tried to talk.
"Bri, Don't talk you have a tube
in your mouth" Kevin said as Brian looked directly at me. I smiled and saw
a small weak smile spread across his lips. The doctors ran tests on him and
indicated everything was fine with him. They took the tube out of his mouth and
said he could leave the hospital in a week. I was happy, I knew he would pull
out of it. I walked out of the room and felt a presence behind me. I turned
around to see Kevin, Howie and AJ following me.
"Nick?" I heard Howie say.
"You could see me?" I asked
surprised they could see when I thought brian was the only one who could.
"See, I told you Rok wasn't
crazy" AJ said.
"How come we could see you?"
Kevin asked.
"I don't know" I said as I
saw the bright light up to heaven in front of me.
"Guys I need to go now, gods callin
me" I said as I walked into the light.
"Bye Nick we'll miss you"
all the guys said as I felt the hold get tighter around me. A few minutes later
I was now back in heaven. I saw The figure walk up to me.
"Hello again Nickolas" He
said as he handed me my wings.
"Hi" I said as I took the
wings, " why was I stuck on earth?" I asked to the figure, hoping he
knew the answer.
"You were put to the test of
friendship Nickolas, You were left on earth to help Brian and when we called
for you, you could have been greedy and stayed in heaven, but you decided to
stick by Brian's side and help and that's a true friend". The figure said
as we came to the door and stopped.
"Now you may go and join the
other angels in peace Nickolas" The figure said as the doors opened and I
felt my wings lift me off the cloud and into the air. I closed my eyes as I
felt the cool air against my skin. This is what I was put on earth for and I
made it, I landed on a soft cloud and fell asleep tired from the stage of Life
after death.
