Epilogue

Six months later

Nick’s house

Elizabeth looked at her reflection in the mirror. The silk white dress flowed out behind her, making her look like an angel. Her hair cascaded down her shoulders, flowers highlighting the angelic glow she cast around her.

"You ready?" Nick asked, poking his head around the doorway.

Turning around, Elizabeth smiled and reached out her hands towards him. "How do I look, Nicky? You think Kevin will feel proud of me?"

Nick gave her a big hug, being careful not to crush her dress. "He won't be able to keep his eyes off of you. You're not just making him proud, you're making him the happiest man on earth. You know, I after Chris died, I never thought I'd see you do this. I'm so happy for you."

Elizabeth smiled softly, tears in the back of her eyes. "I never thought I'd be here again, but Chris showed me what I had to do. Nick, I was so tired of running, when Kevin stopped me I was scared. I guess I needed to hold on to Chris because that was the only thing that made me feel safe. It took a while, but someone showed me I couldn't stop living."

Nick gave her a big hug. "Well, let's get you out there and married to the geek standing at the alter. You look beautiful, Lizzy. Thank you for coming back into my life. Best friends forever?"

"Best friends forever."

Gently, Nick tucked her arm into the crook of his and lead her outside on the beach to the man who was waiting to marry her.

"You happy you married me, Love?" Kevin asked.

"Happier then I ever have been in my life," Elizabeth said, smiling up at him.

"You've made me the happiest man on earth."

"And you've made me the happiest woman. I love you."

"And I love you, Mrs. Richardson."

Slowly, Kevin and Elizabeth glided around the dance floor, oblivious to everything and everyone except themselves.

"You know, it's time to throw your flowers and leave for the perfect honeymoon. You deserve to be treated like a queen, and so that's what you're going to get."

As Elizabeth threw her bouquet over her shoulder, she thought back to everything that happened to her since she met Nick. Smiling to herself, she turned around just in time to see AJ’s girlfriend Samantha catch the bouquet.

Laughing, AJ came up and gave Kevin a big hug. "Well, old man, looks like I'll be joining you soon. That is, if Samantha has her way."

"Hey, who are you calling old," Kevin teased, ginning, "I've just begun to live."
