Chapter 19
One month later:
Casey and Nick were still happily together,
as it should be and of course Aaron had gone home long ago.
Nick pulled into the parking lot of the
county Fair. Casey stepped out, the
excitement of a 2 year old receiving candy showed brightly on her face. Nick walked beside her and grabbed her hand,
and together they walked to the booths to pay for their tickets.
Nick and Casey ran hand in hand to the first
ride they spotted that looked entertaining, “The Tilt-A-Whirl”. They stepped into the ride, Casey giggled
some as the ride sent her crashing into Nick as it twirled.
Nick got out first, offering Casey his
hand. Come on lets go ride “The Ring of
Fire” he said, and together they took off.
To be honest Casey wasn’t much of a roller
coaster fan, but she was determined not to disappoint Nick. As she stood in
line she couldn’t help but fidget some.
Nick gave her and odd look, “You ok he
asked?”
“Huh?, yea,” she answered, sounding quiet
unsure of herself.
Nick nodded, “Ok,” he said about on the same
key.
How many the attendant for the ride asked.
“Two,” Nick answered looking over at Casey to make sure she still wanted to
ride.
Casey held tightly onto Nick as the roller
coaster started and took them round and round in a circle, at the speed of
lightning, it felt. When they finally
exited the ride, they took off to go find another ride, and so the night went
on.
Finally the night came to an end ,as they
once again stood at Casey’s door.
“I had fun, Casey stated, leaning in and
giving Nick a kiss, thank you.”
“No problem, I’m glad you had fun, so did
I!,” Nick replied.
“Well, you wanna come in?,” Casey offered.
“Sure, why not!”
“How about we watch a movie?,” Casey asked.
“Sure, what ever you wanna do is fine with
me,” Nick answered.
Casey picked up a movie case from the shelf
and read the title, “The sixth sense”. “Wanna watch this?,” Casey asked,
holding the movie out so he could read the title as well.
“Sure! I love scary stuff,” he said.
Nick lay down on the sofa, and taking Casey’s
hand, pulled her down on top of him.
Casey got situated between his legs, and layed her head on his chest,
and suddenly, the previews ended and the movie started. When the movie was over, the two were sound
asleep.
