Chapter 21
Nick woke up with a killer hang over and a
head ache from hell. It was almost 1:30
P.M. according to the clock. Shit he
muttered, rubbing his hands across his head.
Last night was a blur. Nick sat
up, ready to go get some type pain killer for his head ache, when he saw the
glass of water and aspirins on his bedside table. He smiled, not sure who had put them here,
hell he didn’t even know how’d he’d gotten home last night. He swallowed both of them and drank the whole
glass of water and headed straight to the shower, not really feeling hungry.
Casey answered her phone on the second ring,
“Hello?,” she asked.
“Hey,” Nick said, sounding sorta drowsy
“Hey, she said yet again. So how do you feel this morning,” she asked.
“Like shit, I think I may have had one too
many beers last night,” he chuckled.
She giggled, “You could say that, she
agreed. Getting you home wasn’t exactly
easy either,” she added.
Nick frowned some on the other line, “So
you’re the one who took me home last night?”
“That would be me,” she said.
“Sorry, honestly I don’t remember much,” he
replied.
“No worries, I figured you wouldn’t.”
“Well thanks anyway, for taking me home.”
“No problem Nick,” she said softly.
“Well, umm, I’m gonna run over to Kevin’s and
see what’s going on over there, you know and visit for awhile, so I was
wondering if you wanted to go over there with me and meet the guys and stuff.”
“Umm, Nick I sorta did that last night,” she
said
“Well, I mean really introduce you the right
way,” he corrected.
“Umm sure, but I have classes in a few hours
so I cant really be gone too long,” she said.
“Well we’ll only be over there for about 45
minuets and then I’ll drop you off at the university,” Nick said.
“Alright, well I’ll see ya soon then. Talk later,” she said.
“Later,” Nick answered back ,hanging up.
Suddenly Nick heard laughter, and he jumped
slightly, turning around.
“Nick, you are one funny drunk,” Brian said,
erupting even more so into laughter.
“Yea, yea!,” Nick said, blowing Brian’s words
off.
Brian suddenly turned serious, “So I have one
question for you Nick.”
“What?,” Nick asked, confused.
“Do you love her?,” Brian asked quietly.
“Love who?,” Nick asked, knowing perfectly
well who Brian was talking about
“Don’t play dumb with me Nick, cause you know
that only works with the fans,” Brian said.
“Fine...to be honest Brian, I don’t know,” he
answered, heading out the door.
Brian once again fluttered back to heaven,
knowing that Nick had feelings he had to resolve on his own.
“Hey Kev,” Nick hollered, barging in the mans
house.
“Thanks for knocking Nick,” Kevin said coming
out of the living room, with D and J rubbing his head.
“No problem he said,” ignoring Kevin’s
sarcasm.
“You got a headache?, “Kevin asked suddenly.
“Yea, a little, but I took some aspirins this
morning he said. But hold on I have some
one to introduce you to, she’s in the car, be right back,” he said.
Casey timidly walked in, a little afraid to
meet the guys, when they were all sober.
“Hey,” she said, as she walked in behind
Nick.
“Hey,” they all answered back.
“So your Nicky’s girl?,” Kevin asked.
“Yea,” she answered, looking up at Nick,
smiling.
Nick interrupted, “Well I didn’t really
introduce ya’ll, this is D, he said pointing to a short man with curlyish hair,
who shook her hand. And this is J and
Kev he said pointing at each man, one being short and tattoo covered and one
very tall with dark hair, each of them shaking her hand as well. And guys this
is my girlfriend, Casey,” he said.
AJ smiled at her, “Sorry about yesterday,
Nick hadn’t told you about us until now.
Well he told us once about a Casey, but only once and I guess it kinda
slipped my mind,” he said.
“No problem she said, I understand, there are
some crazy fans out there,” Casey said.
Kevin smiled at her, “I know I must have made
a fool of myself yesterday, I was drunk off my ass,” he said.
She smiled, “Well actually it was quiet
comical,” she said giggling slightly.
“I like her, AJ said, she has no problem
laughing at Kevin.”
Nick chuckled, “Yea I like her too,” he
agreed.
