Chapter 9
“Yo B-rok, where you at?” Nick looked around him in the hopes of
finding Brian to be there.
“Boo!” Brian gently pressed his fingers into
Nicks back, giving him a scare.
“Ahh!” Nick jumped a foot in the air,
swirling around to look behind him.
“Brian?”
“Uhh huh!
That would be me!” He wore an angelic smile as Nick faced him, his hands
behind his back, and swaying back and forth from his tip toes to his heels over
and over again.
Nick shook his head , chuckling
slightly. “You’ve always liked sneaking
up on people, I should have known what I was in for.”
Brian laughed with him, and then changed the
subject. “So what’s up Nicky?”
“Not to much, but- hey, Nick was known to cut
his sentences short and this time was no different. Lets go sit on the sofa, I’m tired of
standing,” Nick directed Brian to the sofa and the two got caught up and then
there was yet another subject change.
Two and a half hours later, Nick and Brian
had changed positions on the sofa. Nick
had one leg hanging off the arm rest and his upper body hanging off the entire
sofa, Brian on the other hand had his head facing nicks feet, his legs hanging
off the opposite arm rest. There was
four empty soda cans and an empty chip bag.
The entire scene was comical to say the least.
“So let me get this straight, you want me to
go into Kevin’s house and randomly move stuff into the wrong places, and do
stuff to completely freak him out?” Brian
was stating the obvious to Nick.
“Yep, that’s what I want you to do,” Nick
answered, he had only been half listening, Brian had a way of boring you if you
listened to him too long.
“Ok, but what’s in it for me? Besides the mere enjoyment of watching my
cousin freak out.”
“That’s all there is to it, unless you
include the fact that your helping a good friend out,” Nick sat up long enough
to give Brian the puppy dog eyes and then went back into his current position.
“Fine!”
Brian wouldn’t have told Nick no anyways, it would be a classical joke,
and Brian had always been all for that kind of stuff.
