Chapter 5
BJ’s POV
I wiped the tears from my eyes, I needed to
figure out how to work these “powers” Lesley was talking about. But how would I
do that? Nick just told me about the past he didn’t say that we had powers. I
closed my eyes and rested my head up against the cold cell wall as I tried to
think of any power I would have to use against Lesley. I kept my eyes closed
for a few seconds as I saw Nick and Kevin I think it was talking to each other.
Nick was telling Kevin to turn around but Kevin said it wouldn’t be know use
because Nick never showed Lesley love like I did. That was it; Love. That’s
what the power was. Maybe not to Lesley but I’m sure it would work if Kevin
knew about it. The cell door opened as two guards walked in and picked me up
from off the ground and pushed me down the hall. They pushed me into a room as
the door slammed. I looked around, the room was had little cravings on the wall
and were a white color with a little bit of brown blended in with red spots all
over the walls. Wait that wasn’t just red spot that was blood! I took a breath
as I felt a presence behind me. I turned around and saw Lesley; a lifesaver in
her hand. She swung her red glowing lifesaver at me as I ducked. This was it:
the battle had begun.
Nick’s POV
“Come on Kev go faster, there already in
battle”! I said my throat low trying to hid the pain that was developing more
harshly in my body. My stomach turned as I started to feel sick. The pain was
just too much to bare. I picked up my shirt just a little to see the wound
still bleeding, the blood dripping down the side of my stomach. I pulled down
my shirt as I felt a sharp pain go through my arm. This wasn’t a good sign; BJ
was in trouble. Then it came to me: BJ doesn’t know of the powers. I felt the
spacecraft swerve a little as I looked out of the windshield. Siren’s started
to go off as I looked around. What was happening?
“Nick get out of here now!!”
Kevin yelled as he pushed me out of the room and we ran towards the back of the
ship, Where I saw the others.
“What’s happening?” I asked as
we all walked into a little door and sat down in seats.
“A asteroid just hit the
spacecraft were going to have to take the extra one back to the palace” Kevin
told me as we blasted out of the spacecraft. I looked back through the window
to see the spacecraft blow up. I felt a pain go through my stomach as I
clutched onto the seat handles my knuckles turning white.
BJ’s POV
The lifesaver cut my stomach
as I fell down to the ground; tears threatening to come out from my eyes. I
held them back as I remembered what I had heard Kevin and Nick talking about.
Lesley placed the Lifesaver to my throat.
“Lesley remember when Nick was
on tour and you came to me because your boyfriend broke up with you”? I asked
hoping to stall her before it got any closer to my skin. She stopped and looked
into my eyes. Was she remembering something?
“Remember all the times you
thought Nick didn’t love you and you wanted to hate him so much but I told you
he really loved you even though he never showed it,” I said. I saw a tear come
to her eye as she wiped it away.
“I don’t remember any of it!”
She yelled as she picked up the lifesaver and I closed my eyes. This was it I
would be dead within a matter of seconds. I took a breath when nothing happened
a few seconds later. I opened my eyes and saw her sitting there crying with her
head in her hands. I scooted over to where she was and hugged her.
“It’s great to have you back
Les” I said .
“Thanks” She said as the door
opened and we both looked up. Nick and guys ran into the room. Nick ran towards
us and hugged us both. Howie looked at the weird cravings on the wall as he
looked back at us; fear in his eyes.
“What is it Howie?” Brian
asked.
“The carvings there saying a
new life form will start in the year 2150” Howie said as everyone looked at
him.
“What’s so bad about that?”
Nick asked.
“This is the year 2149 and
within 10 minutes well be frozen in time if we don’t get out of here!” Howie
yelled as I gasped. We all got up and started to run toward the entrance of the
palace when Lesley stopped.
“Les what are you doing?” I
asked as she started to run the other way.
“Lesley!!” We all yelled as we
ran after her. We stopped as we saw her standing before a spacecraft.
“We could take this; it will get there faster
then the spacecraft you have now. I know a place where the frozen time wont get
us but we have to move quick” She said. We all boarded the spacecraft as I
looked at my digital watch; which read 11:55 pm. Nick and Kevin headed towards
the cockpit as we all sat down in the seats and buckled in. The spacecraft made
a noise as it started to raise up into the air. I looked at my watch it was
11:58 pm. We weren’t going to make it; I knew it. The spacecraft started to
shake making the pain from my wounds run through me more harshly this time. I
held onto the handles on the seat tightly as cold air started to fill my body.
I opened my mouth to scream but nothing came out; instead I felt my lungs fill
up with the cold air. I saw everything stop moving; we were frozen in time.
