Chapter 11
I must have slept for hours cause when
I woke up it was dark outside. I saw the room was lit by candle light. I
smiled, I knew Nick was up to something. I saw white rose petals on the ground
as I walked out of the room. The hallway was also lit by candle light and there
were more white petals. I made my way down the stairs as I saw the table was
set for two. I saw Nick come out of the kitchen dressed in a suit as I laughed
lightly, it wasn't often you saw Nick in a suit with his hair slicked back. He
pulled out my chair for me and sat down. He pushed it in as he walked to the
other side of the table. Which had white and red colored petals on the table
cloth and candle light.
"Nick this is so beautiful"
I said.
"The night isn't over yet my
love" He said as he walked over to the stereo and put in a CD. The sounds
of "I swear" By all 4 one came into the room. Nick walked back over
to me and out his hand out.
"May I have this dance my
love?" He asked as I smiled and took his hand.
"Of course" I said as I
stood up and walked with nick into the middle of the room. I put my arms
around his neck as he pulled me close to him. I could smell the scent of
cologne and it felt so good just to be so close to him. We swayed back and
forth as the song played. The song ended, but I didn't want the moment too. It
had to be the first moment of peace we had together for a long time.
"Rachael" Nick said as I
looked into his blue eyes.
"yeah?" I asked as Nick took
my hands and sqeezed them lightly.
"I loved you with all my heart
since the first time I saw you 2 years ago. We've been through a lot together
and I couldn't think of anyone else I would of wanted to spend that time with
instead of you." He stopped as he took a ring out of his pocket and bent
down on one knee. " I would be the happiest man on earth if you would
become my wife" He said as tears filled my eyes. " Would you marry
me?"
"yes" I said as he placed
the ring on my finger and stood up and hugged me. We shared a passionate kiss
as he whipped my tears from my cheeks.
"I love you" He said as we
started to dance again.
"I love you too" I said as
we sat down and ate dinner.
