Chapter 6:
CRASH!
After they finished eating dinner and reuniting
with lost loved ones at McDonald’s, the Backstreet Boys and PANTS climbed into
their respective tour buses.
When Praline, Ali, Nikki, Taylor, and Safyre
(whenever we list them from now on, we must of course list them in the order
their initials appear in their group name – it’s just cute that way, ya know?)
got onto the bus, they decided to change into their pajamas. Now, before we get on to the actual plot of
this chapter, it’s crucial that we describe these pajamas in detail and how the
girls looked in them.
Praline, being AJ’s girlfriend, loved two
things – the color yellow and leopard print.
Therefore, it was only natural that she would be wearing leopard print
pajama bottoms and a light yellow tank top.
The tank top was tight and cropped, showing her toned abs, her tanned
shoulders, and her all-around perfect figure.
She looked beautiful, as always, even in her pajamas.
Ali was Howie’s girlfriend, and so, of course,
she loved the color purple. She was
wearing short, purple plaid boxers that showed off her long, slender, tanned
legs. Along with that, she had on a
lavender tank top, which, like Praline’s, was tight and cropped and showed her
toned abs, tanned shoulders, and all-around perfect figure. She, too, looked beautiful, even in her
pajamas.
Since Nikki was Nick’s girlfriend, her favorite
color was green. So, naturally, she was
wearing lime green pajama pants with a matching tank top. The tank top showed off her toned abs,
tanned shoulders… yada, yada, yada.
Basically, she looked beautiful, even in her pajamas.
Taylor and Safyre were both wearing blue
because Brian and Kevin were their boyfriends, and Brian and Kevin liked
blue. Therefore, Taylor and Safyre
liked blue too. They both had on cute
bottoms and tank tops that showed off their toned abs, tanned shoulders, and
all-around perfect figures, and they both looked beautiful, even in their
pajamas.
And there we have it.
Now that we all know exactly what the girls are
wearing and how they look, we can have them actually do something. The first thing they decided to do was watch
Titanic on their tour bus’s DVD player.
They decided on Titanic because, naturally, Titanic was
their most favoritest movie ever. They put
it in and made some popcorn and watched it and cried their eyes out at the end,
and Ali commented on how sad it was that Leonardo DiCaprio had died on the
Titanic because he was so hot and now he couldn’t make anymore good movies for
them to watch, and Praline reminded her that Leo wasn’t really on the Titanic,
that it was just a movie, and that he had made several movies since, one of
them being The Beach, which she and Ali had gone to see together.
“Oh, like, yeah! I, like, remember that!” Ali giggled, and that settled that.
After the movie, the girls got up and danced
around the bus’s makeshift kitchen table for awhile, lip-syncing to Spice Girls
songs and using hairbrushes as microphones.
And obviously, none of this is important to the story, but, come on, how
could we write a chapter and not include these five perfect young women?
If only they knew what was to come…

Now we move on to the real point to this
chapter, and for once, it doesn’t involve PANTS! *collective gasp from readers*. Instead, it revolves around… you guessed it… the Backstreet Boys!
While the PANTS girls were busy dancing around
their table and lip-syncing to “Wannabe” *collective shouts of “NOOOOO!”
from the readers*, the Backstreet Boys were in their own tour bus (which
was driving in front of the girls’ bus).
Nick and Brian were playing Nintendo (Mario Kart, of course), while the
other three were busy watching adult fil- uh… I mean… watching some TV. MTV, in fact. Yeah, that’s it – they were watching MTV.
Because the Boys were so busy playing Mario
Kart and watching… MTV, they didn’t notice how dark and cloudy it was
outside. Actually, they already knew it
was dark outside because it was nighttime, and they wouldn’t have really been
able to tell it was getting cloudy anyway because it was dark. But it was.
A bad storm was coming, and coincidentally, they were driving on a dark,
deserted stretch of road a few miles away from the tiny town of Lonelyville,
population 50.
A monstrous clap of thunder sounded, followed
by a flash of lightning. Then, as if on
cue, the heavens opened, and it began to pour.
Fat raindrops smashed against the windows, and Gus, the driver, squinted
out the windshield, desperately trying to see through the sudden gale.
The men in the back of the bus paid little
attention to the storm, except for Nick, who, glancing out the window as
lightning forked across the sky yet again, commented, “I hope the power doesn’t
go out! Then we can’t play Nintendo!” and
went back to Mario Kart. But the consequences
of the storm would be much worse than that…
All of a sudden, just as Nick was nearing the
finish line on Rainbow Road, they felt a mighty jerk, as the bus swerved to one
side. Kevin and Howie tumbled right off
the couch and hit the hard floor, and Nick nearly dropped his controller.
“What the hell is going on?” AJ yelled angrily.
And then, before he could get an answer…
CRASH!
If only they knew… no, wait, the “CRASH!” was a
dramatic enough ending… guess we’ll leave the “if only they knew what was to
come” line for the end of the next part.
Okay, so here it is again, to get the true cliffhanger affect:
CRASH!
