Part 1

Brian
gazed out the small, round window next to him at the bank of clouds right below
him. Beneath the puffs of white, he
could make out a patchwork quilt of land below, complete with thin stretches of
roadway that ran as seams between the different colored patches of ground.
It
was early spring, and Brian and the rest of the Backstreet Boys were sitting in
the first class section of the plane, on their way to Europe, for the European
leg of their current world tour.
As
the plane finished its ascent from the airport it had taken off from only minutes
before, the clouds covered over the land below, and all Brian could see out his
window was whiteness.
He
sighed and leaned his head back against the headrest on his seat, preparing for
the long flight overseas to the continent of Europe.
