Part 15

A Month Later

“Backstreet Boys, Backstreet Boys, Backstreet Boys, Backstreet Boys!!!”  screamed the fans as the concert ended, also booing because it was ending.

“Man, that was some concert,” said Brian, wiping his sweat.  “You sure you don’t need help, Kev?”

“NO, cuz, I feel fine.  I just had my stitches removed, my wound is healing fine, stop worrying already!  Oh, talking about that, what did the doctor tell about your problem, huh?

“Oh, he said I needed to take more protein and sleep well for my heart’s sake.”

“Well from now on, make sure you do…”

“Are you guys coming or what?  The meet and greet needs to start soon,” said AJ, looking frustrated.

“We’re coming,” said Brian as he and his cousin started walking towards AJ.

At the Meet and Greet

All the girls were excited, screaming their names.  It pumped AJ’s adrenaline, but then he noticed a hot young woman.  Unlike the others, she was quite calm and had no expression on her face, but her body was hot.  He wanted to talk to her ASAP.

“Yo, D, you see that girl?  Man, she’s hot, isn’t she?” asked AJ.

“Yeah, she has a nice body, but her face gives me the creeps…. uhh…”  Howie shivered, remembering his near death experience.

“Oh, come on, they say the shyer they are, the better they are at other things,” said AJ, raising his eyebrows.

“Oh, you’re so sick, AJ, always thinking that way,” said Howie as he sat down on the table with the rest of the group for the autograph signing.

“You bet,” said AJ as he signed his first autograph and smiled at the girl in front of him.

Finally the girl came up to AJ.

“Hi, sweetheart, what’s your name?” asked AJ anxiously.

“Eva,” she said with an almost whisper, but still she showed no emotion.

“Eve, that’s a nice name,” said AJ, signing the poster she had.  “Why so unhappy, darling?”

“It’s Eva,” she said, looking at him straight in the eyes like she was penetrating his sunglasses…  “and I am here in behalf of my little sister who is hospitalized.”  Finally, a little sadness showed in her face, and then she said, “She really wanted to meet you all, but she couldn’t so I offered to come and get her your autographs and pictures.”

“Oh, I’m so sorry,” said AJ, feeling sorrow for her.  “How old is your sister?”

“Ten,” said Eva, back to her emotionless face…

Thirty minutes later

“Stupid group,” muttered Eva as she shut the door to her car, and that’s when she noticed on the poster AJ had written something else.  It read:

Hey, sorry about your sister, but maybe we can work something out and go visit her at the hospital.  Think about it and call me…

Yours truly,

AJ

A smile crept over Eva’s face as she dialed a very familiar number.

“What happened?” yelled a mad voice in her ear.

“You’re not going to believe this, but they offered to go see Brianna at the hospital!  Well, AJ said he could get the others to do it also…”

“Good! Eva, those bastards are going to pay for what they did to me.  I want you get on AJ’s good side, Eva, and make him fall head over heels for you, understand?”

“Dad, that’s to risky just leave alone get over it you escaped and are free to be with me and Brianna you know she asks about you constantly..

“Shut up, Eva, and you’ll do what I said, or I will take Brianna away from you for good!!!”

“No, Dad!!  I’m all she’s got since Mom passed away!!!”

“Good, then here’s the plan…”
