Chapter 2

Charisma pressed the button on her computer as it started to load.  She wanted to know more about these guys from her dream.  The main screen came on, and she went to the AOL icon.  She clicked it and signed onto the internet.  She typed in the words "Backstreet Boys" in the search box and clicked “go”.  There weren’t many sites on the results page, but she went to the first one, which was the Jive page.  A picture of all five of them came onto the screen, as she scrolled down the page to find their stats.  She clicked on the link and started to read about them.

30 minutes later

Charisma logged off the internet and shut down her computer as she walked over to the couch.  She laid down and started to feel a stabbing pain in her chest.

What the…?  she thought as she remembered reading on the internet that Brian had a hole in his heart when he was a little kid.

Could this be connected to him? she wondered, as she flipped on the TV.  She watched it for a while before she felt her eyes start to get heavy and fell asleep.

She watched as a man kicked the side of a big black bus and walked in side.

"What’s wrong Lonny?" a voice asked. She turned her head and saw one of the members from BSB, Kevin.

"The bus is stalled.  You guys might have to miss your next performance," he said.

"What! We can’t!  This one’s the most important one," Nick whined as he sat down and crossed his arms.

"Sorry, guys.  I'll call a tow truck and management," Lonny said as he walked off.

"We could always reschedule it," Howie said as everyone nodded.

"I'll be right back,” Brian said making his way out of the tour bus.  She could feel his harsh breathing against her chest.  He sat down on the curb and took in slow breaths, but the pain wouldn’t go away.  It was the same pain she had before she fell asleep.  He put his head in his hands.  The pain finally went away as Kevin walked out of the bus.

"You okay, Bri?" he asked, as Brian nodded and stood up.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just needed some fresh air," Brian said as they walked back into the bus.

"Charisma!" her mother called, waking her up.

"Yeah, Mom?" she asked, sitting up, the pain in her chest gone.

"Oh, there you are; can you clean up the house a little before your dad gets home?" her mom asked, as she nodded and got up.

"Thanks, hun," her mom said as she walked up the stairs.  Charisma headed into the kitchen and started to clean the dishes.  Her mind drifted back to her dream.  What if Brian was in really bad shape?  Would he die?

Someone had to know about this.  But how could she warn them they were millions of miles away?  She sighed as she went back to washing the dishes.  Hopefully Brian will tell someone before its too late, she hoped.
