Chapter 1

Present Time

"Frack, wake up," insisted Brian Littrell as he nudged his best friend, Nick Carter in the side. He sighed heavily as his friend was either choosing to ignore him and not respond or really was in a deep exhaustion induced sleep.

"Hey, is Nick up yet?" asked Brian's cousin and fellow band member, Kevin Richardson, as he stood up and reached towards the overhead compartment to get his bookbag that was stored there.

"No," said Brian grumpily as he punched Nick in the shoulder hoping to wake him up, but the only reaction he received was Nick moving away from his touch.

"Hey Blondie! Wake up! Or I will tell each and every tabloid and teen magazine all of your darkest secrets," threatened fellow band mate AJ McLean. He grinned at Brian and Kevin as Nick's eyes flew open and he started to get up from his seat.

"Nice work, AJ," snickered Brian as he moved out of the way to let Nick out so he could get his bookbag.

"Come on let's get going. Howie already exited the plane without us and we need to all stay together," stated Kevin with authority as he gently pushed Nick to get him to start walking.

"I'm going, Kev, I'm going," mumbled Nick sleepily as he slowly walked up the aisle. At the exit of the plane stood the stewardesses whom wished them all a nice stay in Scotland. Nick smiled at them sleepily and walked out the door with Kevin, AJ, and Brian right behind him.

"Come on Frack," said Brian as he grabbed Nick's arm and started dragging him through the tunnel to the arrival area. Nick sighed and picked up his pace, so his friends constant pulling wouldn't catch him off guard and he would fall flat on his face.

Once the group of four reached the arriving flights waiting area, they immediately spotted their other bandmate, Howie Dorough, who sat impatiently in a chair with a baseball cap pulled down over his eyes. "About time," he mumbled as he got up once the group came over to where he was.

"Hey no fair!" exclaimed Nick as Brian and AJ both pointed at him.

"He was our problem, 'D. Don't get all testy with us," said AJ with a small laugh.

"Yeah whatever AJ. Lets go down and get our luggage so we can get out of this airport and finally get this vacation started," said Howie.

"That is the best idea I have heard all day," said Brian as he walked off following Howie, AJ, and Kevin. When he exited the waiting room and was more than halfway towards the elevators, he turned around and noticed Nick was missing. "Guys wait up!" Brian yelled "Nicky is missing!" All three of the men in front of him stopped abruptly and turned around to see if Brian was joking or not. When they realized he wasn't they all started walking back towards Brian.

"Don't worry, Bri, he is probably in the waiting room asleep knowing him," laughed AJ.

"I'll go get him," offered Kevin "You guys go down to the baggage claim and we will meet you there." Without waiting for a response, Kevin broke out into a run and quickly made it the waiting room. Just as suspected, Nick was sitting in one of the chairs with his bookbag in his lap and his arms resting on the bookbag with his head resting on his arms. Kevin chuckled slightly to himself and walked over to the sleeping blond. "Nicky, wake up," said Kevin "The quicker you get up, the quicker we can leave, and the quicker we can get to the house and all get some sleep."

"Sleep; good," mumbled Nick.

Kevin rolled his eyes and said, "Yes Nick, sleep is good. Come on." Nick got up slowly and looked around the waiting room with sleepy blue eyes. "Come on Nick," repeated Kevin as he gently grasped Nick's arm and lead him out of the waiting room.

"Hey guys," greeted Brian as he seen Nick and Kevin exit the elevator and make their way towards them.

"Hi," said Kevin

"Nice to see you awake, Sleeping Beauty," snickered AJ as he watched Nick's eyes slowly start to close.

"Ha ha, AJ you just humor me too much," Nick mumbled.

"Well buddy that is what you get for playing video games all night and not getting any sleep," stated Brian as he brought Nick's luggage over to him. "By the way we got all the luggage," Brian told Kevin as Kevin started to walk towards the baggage claim.

"That is good. Thanks guys," Kevin replied "All we have to do now is rent the cars and we can go to the house."

"Yippee," mumbled Nick receiving a cold stare from the group.

"Let's go," sighed Kevin "This is gonna be a long trip," he thought to himself.
