Chapter 2

"Oh, Brian, I'm soooo glad that's over with," Alexa said, as the limo drove down the road. "I was so nervous!"

"So was I," Brian replied, pulling Alexa into his arms and grinning at her. "So, Mrs. Littrell, are you excited about the honeymoon?" Alexa smiled up at him.

"I can't wait, sweetheart," she said, kissing the tip of his nose.

"Oh, Lex, baby, you're gonna love Europe. It's so awesome."

"It sounds awesome," Alexa replied. "But the best thing is that I'll be with you." She smiled and they kissed.

Soon, the limo pulled up in front of the grandest hotel in Lexington, the Starlight Inn. The driver came around, and opened the door on Alexa's side. He helped her out, and then helped Brian. Brian took her hand, and they walked up the steps to the main entrance. A doorman greeted them. Then another man came and showed them to the large room where everything was set up for the reception. The DJ was in one corner, near the dance floor. The dinner tables were all set up on the other side of the room, near the long tables where the food would soon be placed. Alexa's and Brian's parents were already there, a long with many other guests. Alexa's mother came up and gave her a big hug.

"Oh, honey," she started, "I'm so proud of you." Her father hugged her, too. Then they both hugged Brian, while Brian's parents hugged Alexa. Alexa had never been happier in all her life.

The reception went wonderfully. The food was very fancy and delicious. After dinner, the DJ started playing music, and everybody danced. He played some fast songs and some slow ones. Brian and Alexa were sitting next to each other in chairs along the side, when the current song ended, and the DJ grabbed the microphone.

"Okay, everybody," he said. "This one's just for the bride and groom. Brian grinned over at Alexa and they stood up together, as everyone else cleared the dance floor. Then, hand in hand, they walked out to the middle of the empty dance floor. The song started. It was Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey's "Where You Are". Brian looked down at Alexa lovingly. He pulled her close to him, and they started to dance slowly. Alexa snuggled up to Brian's chest and lay her head on his shoulder. As they swayed back and forth, she listened to the words of the song.

There are times
I swear I know you're here
When I forgot about my fears
Feeling you my dear
Watching over me
My hope sees
Of what the future will bring
When you wrap me in your wings
And take me

 Where you are
Where you and I will breathe together
Once again we'll be dancing in the moonlight
Just like we used to do
And you'll be smilin back at me
Only then will I be free
When I can be where you are

And I can see your face
Your kiss I still can taste
Not a memory erased

Oh I see your star
Shining down on me
And I'd do anything

If I could just be right there

 Where you are
Where you and I will breathe together
Once again we'll be dancing in the moonlight
Just like we used to do
And you'll be smilin' back at me
Only then will I be free
When I can be where you are

Now baby there are times when selfishly
I wish that you were here with me
So I can wipe the tears from your eyes and make you see
That every night while you are dreaming
I'm here to guard you from afar

And anytime I feel alone I'll close my eyes
And be there where you are

 Where you are
Where you and I will breathe together
Once again we'll be dancing in the moonlight
Just like we used to do
And you'll be smilin back at me
Only then will I be free
When I can be where you are

Baby, I still believe
Oh, I still believe, I will touch you that sweet day
That you take me there, where you are
I still believe, oh I got to believe
I still believe, I will touch you that sweet day
That you take me there, where you are
I still believe
I've got to believe
I'll always be waiting here
That sweet day

The song ended, and Alexa slowly left Brian's arms. A few dances later, they decided to cut the cake. Everyone walked over to the beautiful cake. It was an angel food cake, which was Brian's idea, since Alexa was his "angel". It had white icing with big blue flowers, and was three layers tall. On the very top layer, was a plastic white gazebo with a bride and groom figure standing inside. Brian took the knife, and carefully sliced a small piece. He broke a bit off of it, and held it towards Alexa.

"Open wide," he said, smiling. She did, and he pushed the cake into her mouth. Then Alexa grabbed the rest and fed it to Brian.

"Delicious," she said, swallowing. Brian nodded.

"Wonderful."

Alexa helped him cut the rest of the cake for their guests. After the guests had eaten their cake, they started to leave.

It was about 6:00 when Brian and Alexa finally left. They had a plane to catch at 8:00 that would take them Boston. From Boston, they would board the plane that would take them to Europe, where they would spend the next month.
