Chapter

When they
finally went into a slower song, Brian finally got a chance to look into the
audience. He scanned the front row, looking for Morgan. Then he saw her. She
was sitting on her father's shoulders grinning happily. She was singing along
too. Brian felt a lump rise in his throat as he watched her. When she turned
her attention to him, he waved to her. Her eyes lit up, shining even brighter
than they had been before, and she waved back to him. Brian grinned and
continued singing.
The rest of
the concert went smoothly. Brian saw that Morgan was having a wonderful time.
She indeed knew all of the words to their songs and part of the dance moves
too, as she demonstrated in "Everybody".
Their second
to last song was "It's Gotta Be You", in which they introduced all of
their dancers and band members. Then, they ran off stage. A few minutes later,
they came back on for their final song, "I Want It That Way".
"Hello
everyone," Brian said, waving to the audience. They screamed wildly.
"Yesterday, the guys and I got the opportunity to meet a very special
young lady named Morgan." Brian saw Morgan grin. "The song we're
about to sing is her favorite song, and we'd like to bring her up on stage with
us while we sing it."
He watched as
one of their bodyguards went over and lifted Morgan over the barricades holding
the audience back. He carried her over and set her on the stage. Brian came
forward and took her hand. He led her over to where the guys' stools were and
sat her on his stool.
"Alright
everyone, I hope you had a wonderful night tonight. We'll close with our first
single off Millennium, "I Want It That Way". And this one's dedicated
to Morgan." The crowd cheered, but
quieted down as the music for "I Want It That Way" began.
Brian stood
beside Morgan and began to sing. They sang the whole song beautifully, and when
it was finished, the audience went wild. They said their thank-you's and headed
off the stage.
