F.A.N.S.
FANS, an acronym for “Forgotten Agents Need Status,” is a terrorist organization founded by Howard Dorough, or “Dr. Rough,” as he prefers to be called. Dr. Rough built FANS from the ground up, recruiting society’s criminals, derelicts, misfits, and miscreants to be his Merry Minions. The most capable of these were fellow rejects of secret service organizations worldwide, including the CIA and MI6, and these formed the circle of Dr. Rough’s closest conspirators, known as the “Rough Riders.”
FANS has two main objectives: world domination and the destruction of Himitsu Takana. The group seeks to reach these objectives by developing advanced weaponry and carrying out elaborate schemes, usually intended to terrorize, manipulate, control, or destroy different parts of the world. Occasionally, FANS steals from or unites with other villains to further their cause.
The headquarters of FANS is believed to be located in southern Florida, hidden deep within the swampy Everglades region.
Howard Dorough
Howie Dorough first learned of Himitsu Takana when his old pal AJ McLean was recruited. The two friends went through the rigorous application process together, but while AJ was accepted, Howie suffered the worst rejection of his life. In the aftermath, he withdrew from society and allowed his sociopathic rage to take over.
He reemerged years later as “Dr. Rough,” leader of the villainous organization known by the acronym FANS, intent on proving his worth by achieving his ultimate goal: to take over the world… and, of course, to destroy Himitsu Takana in the process.
Though surrounded by faithful minions, most of whom are, like him, unappreciated rejects of other organizations, Dr. Rough trusts virtually no one. His minions may be the brawn of FANS, but he is the brains, using his extensive scientific knowledge to develop a wide range of weapons and technology to aid his cause. His closest conspirator is his most talented agent and right hand man, Drums, but he has only two true companions: his minion ferret, Dr. Twitches, and a highly-evolved rockhopper penguin named Michael Jackson.
At a mere five feet, six inches, Dr. Rough suffers from a Napoleon complex and tries to compensate for his height with big weapons and even bigger plans for world domination. He also has a twitch in his left eye, a tic which is more pronounced when he gets emotional. His self-consciousness and deep-seeded feelings of inferiority are a weakness which can get the best of him and are sometimes exploited by Himitsu Takana.
Dr. Twitches
As the most prized minion of Dr. Rough, Dr. Twitches is not your average ferret. He spends his days plotting world domination on the shoulder of his master, and his nights sleeping in luxury in the FANS headquarters, where he is pampered and doted upon. He’s seen quite a bit of action in his young, ferret life, having faced savage pirates, subzero climates, and singing animatronic dolls. At the end of the day, though, he looks forward to the same things all ferrets do: eating, sleeping, and burrowing.
Justin Timberlake
Known these days only as “Drums,” Justin has traveled a road no one could have seen coming. He once was a proud agent of Himitsu Takana, having joined alongside 00Carter and Professor Pearl. He was a promising recruit, who rose through to ranks quickly to earn the status of Agent 009. Despite his personal abuse of the English language through his use of Ebonics when excited, Drums completed his missions with grace and skill. That was, until the day when contact with a biochemical weapon known as Phoenix Suicide ruined his career.
On a mission with Agent Jay, Nick, and Pearl, Drums was the victim of an accidental chemical spill, which caused his head to swell at an alarming rate and his right eyeball to rupture, despite Red Jewel’s attempts to save it. He appealed to Pearl for an advanced prosthetic device to replace the missing eye, but she refused. He was eventually let go from the agency by Agent K because of the new visual impairment.
Justin swore revenge and wasn’t seen again until attacks from the terrorist agency, FANS, appeared on Himitsu Takana’s radar. He was then discovered to be creator, Dr. Rough’s, right hand man, twisted and corrupted into leading the organization towards their ultimate goal: HimTak’s destruction.
Michelle Williams
As the only female of FANS, Sexi is a force to be reckoned with. She is fierce, fast, and deadly with her seductive ways that can bring any man to his knees.
Drawn to the idea of having control, she appears at the side of the evil Dr. Rough but is fair weather and will stick with the more powerful one she can find. She senses that Drums has more power than Dr. Rough himself but is just being played, which is why, of all the FANS agents, she is drawn to the conflicted one the most.
Sexi is out for herself alone with her own dark intentions, as she plays both sides of the battlefield. She is often partnered with Drums, and the two rely on each other, at least in the business sense. Still, she has a hard outer shell that no man has managed to crack… yet.
Joey Fatone
A high-ranking agent of FANS, Fatone is thought to be third-in-command, after leader Dr. Rough and right-hand man Drums. He is called Superman, due to his flight training and affinity for the super hero. After the death of minion Chris Kirkpatrick, who may have recruited Fatone to FANS, Joey stepped into the role of primary caretaker for the penguin MJ.

Chris Kirkpatrick
Thought to have been a high-ranking FANS minion, Kirkpatrick was killed during an infiltration by Himitsu Takana of a FANS base in Antarctica. Kirkpatrick allegedly had a fondness for penguins, even going so far as to style his hair to look like a rockhopper’s crest, and appeared to enjoy a close bond with the penguin minion known as MJ.

Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson is the full name of the FANS minion known as MJ, a rockhopper penguin originally from Antarctica. MJ is an animal companion to FANS leader Dr. Rough and his minions, most notably Joey Fatone and the late Chris Kirkpatrick. Eyewitness reports allege that this particular rockhopper demonstrates an unusually high level of intelligence, communication and social skills, as evidenced by extraordinary behaviors which are considered odd, even unheard of, in penguins (e.g. winking, waving, moonwalking, and co-piloting aircrafts). Mysteries surround MJ’s origins, training, and genetic makeup. MJ enjoys swimming, flying with the aid of an aircraft, dancing, seafood dinners, and long walks on the ice.
Donnie Wahlberg
Though sometimes called “New Kid,” Wahlberg is a veteran member of the villainous agency FANS, having risen slowly from the bottom of the barrel to a place of moderate importance in Dr. Rough’s circle. Described as mouse-like, from his slight build and meek personality down to his tendency to quiver and stutter, Donnie is thought to have moved into this rank, not because of any particular skill or achievement of his own, but because he is frightened, and, thus, loyal and easily-controlled, by Dr. Rough, and because of his relation to the prominent actor and former rapper, Mark Wahlberg.
Jeff Timmons
Jeff Timmons still goes by the code name Agent 98, though it’s been several years since he was fired from the FBI for corruption. He works for Dr. Rough now, as a member of the inner circle of FANS known as the Rough Riders.

One of the many minions of FANS leader “Dr. Rough,” Breen, better known as “Abs,” originally hails from England and has a fondness for the Walt Disney franchise.
