Chapter 11
Alex
arrived at DFW airport at a good time it was 10:00am. He had planned a late flight
so he wouldn’t catch any attention from the media; he even had Howie drive him
to the airport. He went straight to AVIS for his Rental he needed to get to his
daughter fast. He couldn’t help but feel anxious and scared to finally see his
daughter Amber Jade. He held his laughter as he realized that his daughter was
an AJ also, for sure that was Pamela’s idea. There was no denying he was still
attracted to Pam, he needed to stop thinking about it right now he needed to
get over to the hospital. He started dialing Gracie’s number to let her know he
was on his way…

Amber was
sitting in a bench outside Baylor Hospital trying to clear her head. She now
knew her fathers name “Alex” it was weird but she liked AJ better. She was
interrupted by someone’s hands around her. She knew exactly who it was; she
smiled at him as he sat next to her. “Hi, baby how did know I was out
here?”
“Well I had
help your aunt told me you were out here.”
“Oh, well
then you’re a cheater you were supposed to find me yourself. Rick aren’t you
suppose to be in school? I don’t want you to get in trouble especially if
you’re determined to get that scholarship.”
“Yes, but I
couldn’t think clear knowing your not ok. So with my brother’s help I got out
with no problem, I will stay after school or something later. Don’t worry ok I
promise I will graduate and get the scholarship. But if not I know I will have
a job with my uncle Victor.” He smiled at her, man she was pretty and he felt
good around her. Yeah she was definitely a good girlfriend.
“Is that
Victor and Vince’s father?” asked Amber as she snuggled closer to him.
“Yeah, he
has Newspaper Company called The Dallas
Herald; anyway I know he will give me a job if I don’t get to go to
college.”
They
snuggled there for was seemed forever. Amber finally saw the time it was
10:30am and decided to head back up to the hospital.

Alex parked
his car in a parking lot near the hospital and started walking toward it. He
looked at his note and realized he needed to go to building C of Baylor
hospital. Realizing he was going to need help he walked up to this young couple
walking to the same building he was planning to take. “Excuse me guys I am
sorry to bother you but I am looking for building……….C.” he stopped talking as he
saw her she was gorgeous the picture did no justice to her. She looked like she
had been crying and her clothes looked like she had slept in them. It was her,
his daughter Amber right in front of him and he couldn’t hug he needed to calm
down and wait till he spoke to Gracie. She didn’t know how he looked if not she
would of recognized him right? He was interrupted by Amber asking if he was ok.
“Yes, I am
sorry I just get a little dizzy around hospitals. I hate hospitals they smell
ugly and well death.” He said as he look anywhere except her. Who told she was
ready to have a boyfriend?
“Well, we
are on our way to that building also. You can come with us if you want.” Said
Rick as he wrapped an arm around Amber he didn’t like this dude and the way he
looked at his girl….
