Chapter 3
It had been
a month since Christine left him and for his surprise he didn’t miss her like
he thought he would. He actually felt good he was able to make conversation
with other women with out feeling Christine staring at him with anger. He had
made new friends and some how came to accept that he probably would never
become a father. He thought about adoption but he didn’t want to deal with that
right now. He still felt that maybe one of these days Christine would show up
and tell him that she still wanted to have a baby with him and continue to be
together. But, at times he felt like calling her lawyer and asking her for the divorce
he was getting tired of people asking him about her whereabouts. He didn’t even know, he lied and said she was
taking a long deserved vacation with her family but, people were starting
spread other rumors. He heard on one of those celebrity gossip shows that he
had cheated on her and Christine had left him for that reason. That did not
help his career and that was the worst rumor there were more. He starting to
get frustrated, and to some extent his feelings for Christine had changed. He
still loved her but not like a man should love his wife; it was more as a
friend a best friend to be exact. He was about to go to his recording studio in
the back of his house when he heard his door buzzer, and instead he went to
answer it.

Christine
was patiently waiting for her lawyers call; he was on his way to Alex’s house
with the divorce papers in hand. She wanted to find out how he had taken the
news that she was not going back with him. It took a lot of thinking but,
during this whole month she found out that she was right when she had said
marriage was not for her. Saying yes to Alex’s proposal was the biggest mistake
of her life, she loved him but not like she thought she did. She loved life and
when she got married it all changed. She wasn’t the same; she couldn’t do what
she did when she was single. The Parties, modeling, and the traveling were what
she always wanted. Now she was older but she could still model and if not she
could go into acting she always wanted to try that. Just then her phone rang;
she felt a tug in her stomach. In some bizarre way she wanted to hear that Alex
was furious and was not going to give her the divorce. But, some how she knew
that wasn’t the case call it woman’s intuition but she knew he had given it to
her.

Alex
couldn’t believe it a few minutes ago Christine’s lawyer had given him the
divorce papers along with a letter from her. Somehow he felt relieved that she
had made the choice to start the divorce process. Now the hardest part was
going to be facing the media with this big news…
