Chapter 17

A Few Days Later
Melissa's View
Its been 3 days since my driving experience
that I will never forget. Nick scared me when he snapped at me, but I
didn't want him to think that I was mad and hated him. I was only doing
what he told me too, but now I have something to live for if they find the
cure. It will be the first thing I do when I get home and if they find
the cure. That will be the only way.
"Mel! Have you seen my sandals?" I heard Andrea come in
and ask me. I looked around the room and found them under my bed and
pulled them out.
"Yep here they are." I said handing them over to her and she
smiled and sat down on the floor and proceeded to put them on. Nick and
the guys were going to take us out on the boat and we were both getting ready.
"You never finish telling me about your driving lesson." She
said coming over and sitting on the bed next to me. I glared at her for a
second and finished getting dressed. There was nothing more to tell her,
and I decided not to tell her anymore. I wish she would stop asking me
about it. She was getting on my nerves and doing it really fast.
"Are you guys ready?" I heard Nick ask and saw him pop his head
into my
oom. I smiled and looked up.
"Yeah!" We both screamed at the sametime. I grabbed my sunblock
and purse and we headed out the door. Andrea stopped in her room and
grabbed some of her stuff and met us downstairs. We headed out to the car
and went down to the marina where we met the rest of the guys.
Andrea's View
On the way to the marina, I felt a little sick
to my stomach, but I pushed it away and we sooned arrived. We all got out
of the car and everyone was there. Nick's boat was docked at slot 25 and
we walked down there and soon came upon a huge boat and I mean huge.
It looked like a cruise ship to me.
"NICK! This looks more like a cruise boat!" I exclaimed
looking it over and looked over at the boat next to it and it was even bigger.
"Andrea, hunny, what did you expect?" AJ asked looking over at
me. I looked up at him and had my mouth dropped open wide still in
amazement.
"I dunno! I dunno anymore. Are there anymore BIG surprises
Nick?" I asked stepping onto the boat and looked around still in
amazment.
"Well if cable tv is something big then yes." He said and I
almost fainted when he said that. I walked around with a huge smile on my
face and was just amazed at how big the boat was and Nick wasn't lying, there
was cable tv underdeck on the tv down there. Melissa didn't really seem
to want to explore and so I found my own amusment by just looking around and
stayed below deck and soon fell asleep on one of the bunks.
Nick's View
"Hey Mel! Wheres Andrea?"
I asked as AJ took over the helm and walked down to the main deck.
"She was exploring down below Nick, shes fine probably." She
said taking a sip of her drink and showing no sign of emotion on her face.
"MELISSA! Thats not nice to say about her!" Brian said
smacking her and then she walked down below deck to look for her.
Melissa's View
I walked down below deck and looked around. I
soon found Andrea curled up and asleep on one of the bunks. I grabbed a
blanket and draped it over her. She looked so peaceful and I headed back
up to tell everyone where she was and I thought I heard a crash of thunder in
the distance, but I shook it off and walked up the last two steps.
