I: The Terror Within
Prologue
It
was the summer of 2008. I was twenty
three years old and had just finished my first year of medical school. But as I drove my boyfriend’s red sports car
down the interstate, college was in the back of my mind. I was driving from the apartment I shared
with my boyfriend, Josh, in Illinois, all the way to Lexington, Kentucky, which
was an eight hour drive. Why, you
ask? I was going to a Backstreet Boys
concert.
The
Backstreet Boys have been my favorite music group for years. I even saw them in concert once before, on my
fifteenth birthday. But that was back in
2000. Unfortunately, the Boys broke up
in 2003. They were ready to settle down,
to start families, and they had decided that it was time for them to quit the
group. AJ and Nick both had solo
contracts, but you never heard much from Brian, Kevin, or Howie anymore. But then came the awesome news that changed
my life…
