Over the next
few days, Nick recovered quickly. He had slight short term memory loss from
hitting his head so hard, but Dr. Mitchell said it was only temporary, and that
he didn’t have any permanent brain damage, which was very lucky. Everyone knew
that what had happened to Nick was truly a miracle.
Now that Nick
was out of the woods, the others began to concentrate on getting better also.
AJ grew determined that he would regain all of the use of his body and be able
to walk again.
"If Nick
can get through all of that, then I can walk again," he said. He began
physical therapy to regain his motor skills.
Brian also
continued to recover. His lung and ribs were healing as they should.
Angel was also
healing well. Her doctor, Dr. Baker, did some x-rays on her stomach and liver
and happily told her that they were healing perfectly, and she probably
wouldn't need any more surgeries. It would only be a matter of time before she
could eat solid food again.
Everyone was
happy again now that Nick had waken up. Things finally seemed to be getting
better for all of them. Nick had inspired them all. Since things were going so
well, Howie and Kevin held a press conference, revealing all that had happened
to them the past month. After that, floods of cards and flowers from the fans
came pouring into their hospital rooms. The Boys were glad, for it gave them
something to do during the long, monotonous days at the hospital. Plus, they
were touched by the support and love their fans showed. Things were definitely
looking up.
