Chapter

"What was he saying to you?!" Jennie asked, her brown eyes
wide with excitement.
Katelyn blushed. "Nothing much," she said, trying to sound
casual. Jennie stared at her.
"Kate, have you been crying?" she asked, looking concerned.
"Why would you think that?" Katelyn asked.
"You look like you have been. Your eyes are all red and
puffy," Jennie told her. Katelyn knew there was no use trying to lie about
it.
"Yeah, I was crying," she admitted sheepishly. "I was
just so happy. I finally got to meet Brian. My dream came true tonight. I just
couldn't help myself," she lied. It was partly true, but of course, that
hadn't been the entire reason she had been crying.
"Oh, I understand," Jennie said, smiling and quickly hugging
Katelyn. "I was so happy I thought I was going to burst. You know, I think
AJ was flirting with me."
Katelyn grinned and rolled her eyes. "I think AJ flirts with
everybody," she said.
Jennie just rolled her eyes and grinned. "Come on, we'd better go
find out seats," she said. She and Katelyn hurried in and found their
seats in the front row, just a few feet from the stage.

Right at eight, the lights dimmed. Screaming erupted throughout the
audience as the guys rose on a platform from beneath the stage and took their
places in the middle of the stage.
The music began for "Backstreet's Back", and the fans
screamed loudly as Brian began to sing. The Boys performed the entire song.
"Hello, everyone!" Brian said, when the song had ended,
turning to wave at each section of the stadium. "Welcome to out charity
concert. All the proceeds of this show will go to the Brian Littrell Endowment
for Pediatric Cardiology and the Healthy Heart Club." The fans screamed
louder. "Now, this next song is the first single off our debut album and
one of our old favorites. Here's "Quit Playing Games"!" The
screaming increased in volume as the guys began "Quit Playing Games".
