Chapter

Over the week,
Morgan's condition slowly worsened. Brian knew she was dying. She desperately
needed a heart transplant. If she didn't get one within the next week, she
would probably die.
Meanwhile,
Brian and Leighanne's wedding was only a week away. Brian was busy making last
minute plans. But he spent every minute he could at the hospital with Morgan.
He brought Leighanne by once, so Morgan could meet her.
He Leighanne's
look of shock and pity when she saw Morgan. But Leighanne put a smile on her
face and went over to Morgan.
"Hi,
Morgan," she said, taking her hand. "Brian's told me so much about
you." Morgan beamed.
"You're
lucky," she told Leighanne. "Brian will make a very good
husband." Leighanne grinned.
"I
know," she said, turning to smile at Brian. He winked at her.
"Are you
going to have babies someday?" Morgan asked.
"Yes,
someday we want to," Leighanne replied, smiling.
"When I
grow up, I want to have lots of babies," Morgan said. Leighanne smiled at
her. But her heart was breaking inside, hearing Morgan talk about growing up.
"I hope
you get to have tons of babies," Leighanne said.
"I have
to get married first though," Morgan said. Suddenly, she motioned for
Leighanne to come closer. Leighanne leaned over while Morgan whispered into her
ear.
"If I was
grown up, and you weren't already marrying Brian, I would want to marry
him," she whispered. Leighanne smiled.
"Someday,
you'll find a man just as great as Brian that's closer to your age," she
whispered back. Morgan grinned.
"I hope
so," she said. Leighanne just smiled down at her.
