December 1st Updates

October 19th Updates
In an effort to show you that I actually can update regularly, I have
lots of updates for you today! Chapter 3
of my new story “Secrets of the Heart” is up.
It’s a little short, and I would have liked to have had Chapter 4 ready
to post with it, but I don’t, so this is it for now. A huge thanks to those of you who took the
time to read the first two chapters and offer feedback. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve started a
totally new novel of my own, so your thoughts on it really mean the world to
me, and I’m thrilled that the reaction has been a good one so far!
Also, I have some hosted story updates I’ve been majorly slacking on
getting posted (sorry, Vanessa and Dee!).
Chapters 5-8 of Vanessa’s story “Gypsies Passion” are up. Also, I am now hosting “Pandora’s Box” by my
friend Dee. This story is posted in its
entirety on Absolute Chaos, but since Dee is in the process of editing it, I’m
posting the newly edited chapters here as she sends them to me. So it’s posted up to Chapter 9 here for the
time being. Check it out!
I took this opportunity to re-organize the hosted story pages a bit. I removed all of the incomplete stories which
have not been updated in the last two years to their own page, known as
“Discontinued.” They will still be
available for you to read, but I wanted to separate them from the finished and
in-progress stories. I know that I,
personally, hate getting into a story, only to find out it isn’t finished and
is never going to be updated again, so I wanted to spare you from that by
forewarning you. So when you click on
any of the hosted story pages besides that one, you will find only finished
stories or more recent in-progress fics.
October 13th Updates
It feels like forever since I’ve updated!
It’s been two months, and that’s a long time for me. But I hope I will be able to start updating
more often again because… I started a new story! I actually have two new stories for you
tonight. The first is a short story I
wrote back in August called “Watch Me As I Bleed.” It was written for a challenge over at AbsoluteChaos, and I realized I hadn’t posted it on the
site yet. It’s kind of a good one for
Halloween, I guess, if you have a strong stomach LOL. So that is up.
Then, the new new one! I got tired
of waiting on co-writers to write for my various collaborations, so I took
advantage of my three-day weekend and started on an idea I’ve had in my head
for a few months. The story is called
“Secrets of the Heart,” and it’s an AU (I’ve been wanting to write an AU for a
long time now; this is one of three ideas I’ve had for Brian AUs LOL). It stars
Brian and AJ. The first chapter is kind
of a downer and may seem similar to other things I’ve written, particularly the
very first story I posted on this site… but I assure you, the story itself is
no more similar than “Broken” was to “Don’t Wanna Lose You Now.” The first two chapters are up, and I hope you
enjoy them! This is really the first novel
I’ve started and actually posted since BMS, so I’m pretty excited about it!
August 11th Updates
Episode 5 of “00Carter” is up!
There have been some other updates to the 00Carter site as well, so if
you haven’t been there recently, check it out!
This is my main project now that BMS is done, so I really hope those of
you reading it are enjoying it, and if you haven’t checked it out yet and are
looking for something new to read, please give it a try! I never thought this would be my type of
story at all, but it’s a blast to write, and honestly, I think it’s really
creative and funny (although it’s not all comedy; it’s got drama and action and
all that good stuff too!). Some of my
best writing has been in this story because it really pulls out my
creativity. So I would love it if you
would at least give it a chance and let us know what you think! :)

August 3rd Updates
I apologize for the lack of updates this summer. To hopefully make up for some of it, I do have
three new hosted stories for you today.
Two of them are finished Nick stories; one is “Unsaid Goodbyes,” and the
other is its sequel “For the Rest of My Life.”
They are drama/romance tearjerkers, classic Dreamer’s Sanctuary stuff
LOL, so I hope you’ll enjoy them! The
third new hosted story is a Howie AU called “Gypsies Passion.” It’s got pirates, gypsies, and all that fun
stuff, so check it out! The Prologue
through Chapter 4 are up; the story isn’t finished yet.

As for as my own writing, I spent the first summer being not even close
to as productive as I wanted to, but this last half has been very productive,
just offline. I’ve been working on both
“00Carter” and “Code Blue” with my co-authors, and we are getting really close
to updates on both stories. I’m betting
00Carter will happen first, then Code Blue.
There has been a serious writer’s block issue with Code Blue, but we’re
trying to get motivated. I will also
drop a hint that I’m working on a new project with a couple other people which
we should be ready to post in the next month sometime. It’s going to be a lot different from what
you’re used to from me, but we think it’s gonna be a cool story, so hopefully
you’ll check that out when it comes. :)
June 4th Updates
I posted a new part to my new-ish story/series, “Footprints.” It’s called “The Day I Met the Rest of My
Life,” and it’s definitely my favorite part so far; I really enjoyed writing

June 2nd Updates
What?! Another update?! Yes!
And I have more new writing for you!
Two new pieces from me, both of which were written for challenges over
at Absolute Chaos. The first is for this
month’s “cringe-worthy” challenge, which was to take an old, cringe-worthy
scene or chapter from a story you wrote and rewrite it to see how much better
you can make it. I chose the Epilogue
from my old, old story “Don’t Wanna Lose You Now,” which is one of the
crappiest “chapters” I’ve ever written, if you can even call it that. I rewrote the Epilogue and have posted it on
the DWLYN page as an Alternate Epilogue.

The other piece is a new short story called “Genesis 2014.” This one was written for the April Fool’s
Challenge earlier this year. That
challenge was to write something completely unlike what you normally write. So instead of my usual third-person,
past-tense, drama/angst/heterosexual romance epic novel, I wrote a sci-fi/slash short in first person, present tense. The main similarity between it and most of my
other stories is that it’s kind of a downer LOL. It was a fun challenge to do though. If you’re interested in reading it, it’s now

May 31st Updates
I have a semi-new story for you.
For some, it will be brand new, and for others, there is a new part at
least. The story is called “Footprints,”
and it’s sort of a companion to “Broken” and “By My Side.” It’s a series of short stories/scenes written
in first person from the point of view of Claire, starting before Broken begins
and eventually working up through the Broken era and… well, I’m not sure how
far I’ll take it.
I’m calling it “semi-new” because I actually started this project a year
ago and posted it on AbsoluteChaos… sort of an AC
exclusive LOL. I wrote the first three
parts and then spent a LONG time on the fourth part, and I told myself once
that part was finished, I would put it up on my site. So here it is. It’s just a little something for the Broken
fans, especially now that the main series is over. I’m just writing it for fun, and as kind of a
character exercise. Even though I’m done
with BMS, I have been playing around with an original novel version of Broken,
so I’m not totally done with “Nick and Claire” just yet. :)

April 27th Updates
Okay, so it took me three months, but I finally have a new story
posted. It’s a short story called “The
World Will Know Your Name,” which I’ve had in my head since last September and
have been working on since February.
It’s an AJ story and also a songfic; I haven’t
done one of those in forever, but this particular song just really inspired

March 15th Updates
I should have known my updates would go by the wayside as soon as BMS was
done. I have been working on some new
things, trying to get a new story going.
So far the only brand new thing I’ve started is a short story I’ve been
meaning to write since September, but I also have some other things I started
awhile back, in addition to the stories that are still incomplete. I just haven’t been mega-inspired for any one
of them yet, which is why I have no new stories to debut yet. I will eventually.
I DO have an update for you today, though, one that’s been coming since
last July. Episode 4 of “00Carter” is
FINALLY finished and posted! It’s called
“Ice Ice Baby,” and it’s my absolute favorite one
yet. I think it’s HILARIOUS, and I can
say that because I only wrote part of it.
Most of the hilarity comes from other people. I totally cracked up when I was reading their
parts, and I hope you will too. There’s

January 28th Updates
On this day five years ago, I posted the first two chapters of a new
story I had started just the week before and was not entirely sure I was going
to continue. However, the story started
on Nick’s birthday, so I decided to take a chance and post the beginning on
Nick’s birthday. Nick was turning
twenty-three, both in real life and in the story. That story was “Broken.”
Five years later, in honor of Nick’s twenty-eighth birthday, I’m posting
the final chapters of “Broken’s” sequel, “By My
Side,” which is finally finished, after nearly four years of writing it. It feels like the end of an era, and I’m a
little sad about it, but mostly I feel very accomplished. Chapter 200, the Epilogue, and the
Post-Epilogue of “By My Side” are up, and I sincerely hope you enjoy them! Your reactions and final thoughts are always
appreciated. The soundtrack page has
been updated too, so you can listen to the music referenced in these final
chapters.
Thank you so much to those of you who have read these two stories; they
are my babies, which I’ve been “raising” for five years, and now they are
finally grown up. And I’m starting to
feel the empty nest syndrome. ;) I can
promise you I will be writing another novel at some point, as well as some
short stories or novellas, ideas for which have been brewing in my head for
some time now. I don’t know exactly what
I’ll be tackling first or when I will start my next story, but I definitely
will start one at some point. In the
meantime, the next episode of “00Carter” is almost done, a new “Code Blue”
episode has been in the works for awhile now, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll dig
up some inspiration to work on “Not Another Teenybopper Fanfic,” which, come to
think of it, was started before Broken was even a seed of an idea and still
isn’t finished. So, yeah… I’ve got
plenty of stuff to work on.
